Cooper.

It's not really after a climber but there is the Cooper Spur up on Mt. Hood. The spur is named after the guy who built the road up to the mountain to allow early settlers traveling the Oregon trail access to the mountain. So I guess it's related to climbing in a way.

El Capitan. ;-)

I honestly had a kid in my class who was named King David. When saw it on the roster and asked him what he "went by," he said "King David." It was awkward.

My only advice is... don't ask the late Frank Zappa (if you could that is).

Some names have just plain fallen out of fashion.
Boris comes to mind, as does Adolf.

I always wondered how they named their son Tiger Woods,
but King David? Zow.

Splitter or Barndoor might not have the ring you're looking for.
Redpoint might be the same. Six Shooter?

The best by far?

Flash.

My wife's 8 months pregnant. We're thinking Spencer Steel(e). Not sure if the middle name should be after the metal or a mountain in the St. Elias range.

Either way he'll be able to wipe the floor with your kid's asses. ha ha
