I used to think Ed was the smartest person on ST. Now Tarbuster posts that up and I am no longer so sure.

Tsarbuster:

Revolutionary kinda guy in a trad climber's body.

But you forgot old Millis, who climbed the pants off me and the Rev, with or without pants.

Dropped in there once on accident.
Ended up getting trolled by zbrown and vowed to stay away.
It's not really my trip...and it doesn't have to be.
It's their trip.
I'm glad it exists- it's an easy way to send mouse a hello.

My one complaint- not that it matters, but because I know he'll read it-
Gnome- cutting/pasting huge chunks of other threads and airing your grievances on the Flames thread is kinda lame.
Just let it be the stream of consciousness scrapbook that it is without the drama.

All the best to you weirdos ;-)

Well sheeit, I had to look it up. Sorry, jefe.

The little thing with Zbrown- just some good natured banter about college b ball.
If he knows anything about NCAA basketball, and he does, he knows that the difference between the U of A and ASU is a big deal, just like UCLA and USC, Duke and NC.
He didn't actually get under my skin, trolled me a tad.. and I hope our exchanges didn't ruffle your feathers as you indicated. I guess you had some other forum drama that I'm unaware of(?).

Hell I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing here - when I work that out I'll start working on you. From what I can see, I like that mouse guy.

tarbuster... say, that was very well said:

It's Mouse from Merced's opus.
When he's gone, we will be able to find something of him there.

Also, it is simply ... Mouse's longform version of "Kilroy Was Here".
http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kilroy_was_here

Ostensibly, the thread is a free association whose leaping off point is a group of buddies from Merced, the self-styled "Flames".
Some of them, such as Jeff Mathis, a.k.a. "The Rev." and Mouse, actually climbed.

But, be thinking more along the lines of cultural reservoir.

Think selfie stick ... But instead of being pointed at a man's head, it's pointed inside a man's head.

wow, not much to add to that, :)
but--
besides the above, which is true, i also like to think of it as this,
being that a LOT more folks have dropped in, and,
with more us friends that like merced pics, and friends that like
the various photos, etc... (or some that like the poetic, or ramblings, as well) WELL:

it is kind of like a LOUNGE:

MEANING, i have seen a few forums, with a LOUNGE tab...
that is where folks just show up and chip in, with:

whoever is IN THE LOUNGE at said time...

kind of nice, as, various subjects show up, and
folks share how they are doing and what they are up to...

oh my, i just realized, as i typed this... it is like a
mini supertopo-workings, WITHIN the supertopo, but:
majoring on mouse's 'path through merced',
instead of--
the supertopo's climbers through their daily adventures...

though, being a lounge, of course, everyone (not just old flames) are all welcome there...
and hence, the 'mini taco' aspect, is there... :)
