Conversation I endured this morning in the office kitchen (typical)
She: "do anything fun this weekend?" (setting up her chance to tell me about her weekend)
Me: "No" (even though I climbed at Woodson and shot bow/arrow with the kid I mentor)
She: "Oh. Well I was sick all weekend. Fighting a cold or something. Oh well, what you gonna do?"
Me: "Lot's of things, actually. Stop sticking your fingers in your mouth. Exercise more. Eat more veggies in conjunction with a balanced diet. Get enough rest. Drink plenty of water. There are many things you can do."
She: "Haha, that's funny. I think the emotional stuff I was going through helped make me sick" (hoping I'd inquire as to what emotional stuff she's been going through)
Me: *exits kitchen
These media reports are custom-made for this woman, and people like her. We reap what we sow, folks. Ain't hard to understand.
