I looked at tickets online and saw them priced for $400+ for standing room only. $500+ for any kind of seat. A little rich for my blood- I'll be watching Verlander getting shelled on t.v.

hilarious: Detroit's pitching coach comes to the mound, says, "Don't give up the long-ball," and Verlander gives it up on the very next pitch.
Zito out-pitching Verlander? What kind of Bizarro World is this?

The giants can handle top pitchers in the playoffs. Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay in 2010. Now Verlander.
OMG, three homers for the panda.

Giants are wiping the field with the Tigers tonight. :(
Sorry, gotta go against the grain and say GO DETROIT!!!
You SF Giants folks have had plenty of wins and glory. And you live in an awesome city.
Poor Detroit has been through so much crap, hard times and nothing good in ages. Would be nice to see them have something to celebrate.
As long as it doesn't end in major party riots. Which a WS win would probably result in.
ps - I'm NOT a Dodgers or Angels fan so I'm not a Giants hater. Just like rooting for the underdog here. They knocked off the Yankees so that sealed my love for the Tigers.

She grew up thiking Tigger was what SHE loved best and thinks Tiggers love Tigers the best, too. Women and sports bets...

This game is depressing. I want a contest!
Between work and weekends away climbing I won't get to see much of this series and wanted to see a great game tonight. It's just a wipeout.
Get it together Detroit!

let's see some creative photoshopping of the Kung Fu Panda beating up on a tiger...
Still have to go with the Tigers though, because of Dougy Fister, the only ex-Mariner on either team.

I think the empty section was where the Tiger fans were sitting. Might have left early.

Went to the climbing gym tonight for the first time in six months and stopped for a beer and a bite on the way home. There were so many televisions in the pub that no matter where you sat, you were watching baseball.
As far as I could tell, there was only one team playing. Plus some guys in a different uniform to make it look like a real game.
