Yes, and it should be written on your heart.
It sure would make things a whole lot nicer here at ST for sure . . .
"Do unto others as you would have others do unto you."
The Golden Rule.
It's OK, to debate and dissagree with one another. I encourage that. That's how we learn. But we should do it nicely and respectfully. It doesn't have to be The Wild West of ST.

If you don't know, then you're wise to back away from all of it. That should be simple enough.

Thanks to Dingus and Klimmer for rules to live by.
And thanks to Zip for the unwritten rule: He who gets the most responses to a troll thread wins.
Thanks Captain
Unwritten rule: Some rocks once in a GD while.

Climbers pride themselves in taking personal responsibility yet here on ST some who advocate and practice such a code are themselves contradictions.
Managing employees I often have to discipline individuals for crossing the line with email. I relate to them my own code by asking them would you have said what you wrote in email to our office in a conference setting or displayed the content to everyone up on a power point presentation, when they reply no I ask then why would you do it with email? I think many of the comments and content would surely be different if some would ask themselves a similar question.
There was a thread a while back asking a question about having ever been embarrassed being a climber, I could easily answer the question yes by reading or viewing some of the content here on ST. Some of the name calling here and the elitest attitudes I've witnessed directed toward the non-climbing public is reminescent of school yard days long gone.
Overall however I enjoy the banter within my own lines, that said I think this forum could improve with a little self reflection.

You said: ""Is "Do not complain to CMAC" an unwritten rule?"... Obviously NOT!!!..."
Could it be an unwritten rule that is broken from time to time?
Thanks Charlie D
That is a good rule to live by. Is it also an "in praxis" unwritten rule of the forum?

Thanks Locker.
Then what was said to be "crying to CMAC" is just to play by the agreed upon rules when entering the forum?
