Wow 3 weeks out there! Must be one smart dog. Heal up well and really looking forward to hearing about your reunion!
If I ever meet Ben the beer's on me. Takes a special person to go back like that.
Neat that ST played a part in helping with the ID too.

What a great looking dog. So glad to hear this has a happy ending. I just had to deal with my dog getting hit by a car. Worst day of my life.
When I was about 10, we adopted two Golden Retriever pups from a friend whose dog had puppies. This was in Salt Lake City and the owner of Maggie, the mama dog, lived in Cooke City, Montana, about 500 miles away. He took off back home with Mama back to Montana but about a week later she showed up on our front porch with road tar all over the fur on her legs. She must have really wanted to be with her pups.

Oh man, this is so great. A few years back an old lab (12 years old) went missing near where I live (Santa Cruz Moutains)in a howling storm. She was found by some hikers about a month later, her rear partially submerged in a run off stream. She was rescued, lost upward of 15 pounds and brought back to health. Second chances...there is something out there way beyond our comprehension.
So much love and healing mojo going to that pup from ST.
