Charlee is a 8 year old Queensland Heeler (Grey in color) Last time I saw her was at 2 pm at the base of the Great Wall of China, Owens River Gorge. She was wearing a collar with her Name and my two phone numbers 916 685 2505 and cell 916 769 8149. She also has a chip. Thanks, John R

My sincerest wishes you are reunited with your friend. My heart goes out to you during this tough time. With a collar & tag I am sure you'll get her back.

Sending good thoughts your way.

Thanks everyone for your concerns and thanks Patrick for continuing to look. We spent hours but more eyes always help.

Hey ,

I dont know if it is any consolation but my friend lost his dog after camping in the same area.

He put flyers up everywhere and got a lot of sighting calls and every time he went to look -nothing.

Finally after a month he was still looking in the area where his dog was lost and on the date exactly one month from when it was lost -the dog came walking up to him from a small canyon.

Good Luck!

Bump for Charlee the Heeler (what a doll) - safe to assume you've contacted any/all animal control offices in Bishop? Put the word out to local climber hangouts and shops too...maybe you've already done that.

Good luck and hopefully you'll be posting soon that Charlee's been found.

Unbelievable but true. Charlee has been found. She was found yesterday by Ben, found near where we last saw her near China Wall in the Owens River Gorge. She is in a hospital in Mammoth and Doctor thinks she will be okay. She lost 11 pounds, is dehydrated, has a fever and congested. Ben had to carry her out. She is on IV and antibiotics. We are leaving now to pick her up. Ben Called me from where he lives in Mammoth and said he saw a dog that looked like Charlee lying near the river, out of view, and when he got up the trail to the parking area he saw my sign and figured that might be my dog. When he called I had him look at the picture here in Supertopo, and he said the pic looked just like the dog he saw. Even though it was getting late, Ben drove all the way back to Owens and hiked down to the bottom of the gorge and found her and brought her back to his house and called me with news. He then took her to the vet where she was admitted. Ben is a great guy. more later
