I think the question should be....."How are we so lucky to let our women show so much skin" or maybe think about referencing this to climbing??? in which case the title would stay the same.

Dear Juan,
I will be in California the last week of March, and will post my campsite location on this site when I arrive. Please do stop in for drop of tea in the evening. I am sure the conversation will be scintilating, and I can assure you, you'll never see it coming when I smack you aside the head from behind with a #10 hex.
Sincerly,
Miss Happiegrrrl

Walk around a college campus lately. It looks like a strip club.
Note to file: When visiting California, do not ask Juan for advice on strip clubs.

"Juan, Do some LSD with a hot college babe and reflect on life in the post-modern world...it'll give you plenty of perspective. "
Make sure she is scantily clad, though, don't want a bad trip - nothing worse than frustration on acid...

Its not healthy physically or spiritually for us men to be so focused on sex. We have to take much of the blame for all the ills that sex brings upon society.

All animals in nature have males or females that try to attract a mate using various physical means. Why would humans be any different?
Why is it that conservatives tend to think that sex is a bad thing? Why do some humans not think so?
Humans are pretty damn lame.
How's this for a question:
Why do some groups not only not let the women show skin but also keep them from an education, from voting (where it's otherwise available), from talking out-of-turn, and from being anything but a tool for sex and making babies?

Look Men, all I am saying is that many of societies ills would be solved if women stop dressing the way they do. Let's face it, out society is ruled by sex. Its everywhere.
It's the biggest distraction we have. Its not lack of oil that will destroy us, its the destruction of our morals. Parents, husbands, and boyfriends really need to start controlling how their women dress.
Its not healthy physically or spiritually for us men to be so focused on sex. We have to take much of the blame for all the ills that sex brings upon society.
Juan, you're not alone. There are those who feel as you do. They're the ones in the middle east making the rest of the world think that all muslims are evil, misogynistic murderers.

What I am saying that a country has to strike a balance, we need some type of ANSI standard for women's dress.
If a women at college feels the need to attract a mate, the government should set some type of guidelines as to what is acceptable.
You see this is how the trap us. I think if women had their way they would kill us after mating, as many animals in nature do.
A big problem is that many women after they have found a mate, continue to dress as if they were looking for a mate.
This creates many problems for society.

How about if you and all the other men troubled with this simply work on your perv-within and let the women do their own thing...
"I think if women had their way they would kill us after mating, as many animals in nature do."
Juan, that is patently ridiculous thinking. If women were exhibiting true Darwinian instincts and intuition they would most certainly kill you and Rajmit BEFORE mating to enhance the success of future generations of Internet forum users.

1. Sex Good
2. Women Good
3. Trolling Bad
No, the problem is not that woman are scantily clad. The problem is that people thing that sex is bad. Even being a grandparent at 36 is not bad.
Look, I'm 34 years old and about to become a father for the first time. As I watch my wife's body go through these changes, It drives home what human biology is really all about.
We have all these appendages seeming stuck at our body at random for the sole purpose of creating more of us. It is really cool that all this stuff works. I mean, it is magic.
If you are attractive, flaunt it. And since no one knows what someone else finds attractive, even if society things that you aren't attractive, go ahead and flaunt it anyway. This precognitive aspect of our lives is so undervalued. You'll only be 16 for a year, enjoy it. Go reread Carpe Diem by Robert Frost, as I couldn't say it any better than he did anyway.
Juan, if you really think that there is something wrong with someone showing that much skin, you should go sit in a quiet place and meditate on what it is about it that bothers you so much? Is is sexual frustration? All males are sexually frustrated, we just want more sex than we are ever going to get. (OK, I'm sure that there are some that are many in a better balance of sexual give and take, I'm talking broad generalizations here.)
Home many times have you passed a group of guys plays sports where they are shirts and skins. No complaints against this? WHy should it be any different for women? OK, I understand the need for healthy, structual support for the better endowed, but who cares.
A sexually attractive woman is sexually arrtactive (aside, did you know Bootylicious actually made it into more recent dictionaries) whether or not she is wearing clothes. Certain outfits are better able to accentuate different shaped women. Quantity of skin exposed is merely one aspect of the sexuality equasion.
Other cultures have had greater or lesser Taboos regarding the quantity of exposed skin. They have had variations on the taboos around sexually promiscuity as well. Some of the most permissive cultures are the best in terms of morality (here loosly defined as a prediliction to killing and cooking your neighbors) and some have been the most aggressive.
I have to admit (to long last bring this back to climbing) that one aspect I love about this sport is the effect it has on our muscular systems. The muscle groups developed by climbing are incredibly aethetically pleasing. A semi-serious climber looks buff, with great tone in the arms and back. Who would really expect that a climber wear clothing that covers up their body when working a hard route on a warm day? Yes, if said climber happens to be a particullarly bootilicious babe, they are going to attract more attention. But as a spectator on more than one occasion of said climber, I know my thought process, if translated to words, usually would run something like this:
Hey, she's hot.
Nice (body part)
Hey, she's doing pretty good
Oh, this is where that other guy fell
Nice move she made it
Cool, maybe she'll send it
ooh, starting to shake
Nope, probably not going to get it this try
Ooh, my belay partner is waiting for me
I think that it is a great portion of this sport that it makes you more attractive. So if you have a problem with attractiveness, you might want to take up a different sport.

We have one already. It states that women can wear as little or as much as they want. What we really need is an addendum to keep the fat ones from exposing so much skin. Besides, as a male, what else is there to think about when you aren't climbing?! And you think women are any different? They dress like that cause all they want is sex too.

Here's how it works with humans:
Females attract.
Males approach the attractive item.
Females accept or reject
So, men don't attract mates except for those with WAY more than normal of what females prefer. I'm a guy,so I'm not really certain about what that is.

I remember how disgusted I was back in the seventies when many girls climbed topless on the Weeping Wall; all those falls resulted in taking twice as long for me to finish a route.

Mother Nature is a sadistic bit... When males are young and predatory(thanks to momma nature), there's a mild sociopathic streak at work. When the same guy has a family and daughters(I have one.), he makes sure he has a shovel, pistol and silencer handy.
