Funny you should ask - I'm wearing some right now.

It's all about that familiar fabric embrace.

Flattering too.

In the right light.

Deepnet and Kid,

Until you posted I thought this was a real weenie roast. Thanks for those.

Here's where real men go to roast weenies.

I sense a lack of response from the Taco on personal photos of ourselves wearing lycra, and it may just be we are not the like to wear it except in jest. Or some of us would rather not embarrass ourselves.

Contrast Limber Linda in the above shot with one from the previous decade. Like WAY previous.

Fred looks MARVELOUS! Who is the adoring lady on Beckey's left?

Just a few weeks ago, I saw a couple guys coming down the Mist Trail fully clad in colorful lycra. Kind of a shock really.

Only on the downhill and XC race courses.
When climbing I wear whatever gives me the highest coefficient of friction.

Of course, it's good for keeping you warm and allowing mobility. Had a metallic turquoise pair at one time but wore out the knees groveling in too many chimneys.

Lycra Like Ya Care – if you dare?

Date: 25th December 2012 11:30am - 3:00pm
Location: Yosemite Visitor's Center Entrance

If you look good in tights, enjoy the cool sensation of lycra or more likely want to test your fitness levels and help end youth homelessness at Camp 4 at the same time - then we’ve got the event for you!

Virgin Money and Virgin Active have partnered together to host a massive sweat-a-thon at Columbia Boulder and others in Camp 4. But you must register at the station in front of the Visitor's Center, then, wearing only lycra you will go to Camp 4 and begin the circuit.

Remember, no jackets permitted at any time when bouldering or you will not get the full experience of FREEZING YOUR ASS OFF IN YOSEMITE VALLEY IN LYCRA!!! All proceeds going to support Oasis, the YCA's pitiful homeless shelter, that old primered van parked next to the river and it's not Evans' van.

A cheeky $25 gets you in the door for 3 hours worth of back to back classes in Zumba, Cycling, Yoga, Body Attack and Boxing following the boulder circuit, if you can still hack.

Speaking of Hackey-Sacks, how f*#kin' retrard is that?

So, sign up now. We only have 250 places available so register here then
go lose a few pounds before you have to try that old Lycra on for reals. Sure it stretches, but how do you look? You might decide to do some shopping.

Lycra has one benefit no one has mentioned.

I recently found myself feeling nostalgic for lycra tights so I JUST sewed myself a new pair of lycra pants yesterday! I'll wear them to the gym next time I go and post up a picture for y'all. They are really bright and crazy.

My butt does look kind of big in them but now that I'm over 60, I'm allowed...
