this is a Trundling thread, bruther, give it yo best shot.
no cops in here.
have you ever trundled sandstone?
once it reaches escape velocity, the particles tend to become un glued,
like an elmers airplane in the rain. so what you have is,
a ranger looking up at a huge boulder heading his way,
only to break up right befo prosecution.
what say?

Fattrad: Sorry, but I don't think Teddy Roosevelt would make it under the new "small tent" of the Republican party.
The dude was a radical. You can admire him, but his agenda would be "instant death" to the assorted bigots and religious wackadoos that the Republicans have found necessary to further their support of corporate America.
While Teddy was president, he designated 150 National Forests, the first 51 Federal Bird Reservations, 5 National Parks, the first 18 National Monuments, the first 4 National Game Preserves, and the first 21 Reclamation Projects.
In the seven-and-one-half years he was in office, he provided federal protection for almost 230 million acres, a land area equivalent to that of all the East coast states from Maine to Florida.
He preached a "Square Deal" for all Americans, enabling millions to earn a living wage.
He reduced the National debt by over $90,000,000. (vs the last three National debt-loading Republican presidents.
Teddy also secured the passage of the Elkins Act and the Hepburn Act for regulation of the railroads, the Meat Inspection Act and the Pure Food and Drug Act for consumer protection, and the Federal Employers' Liability Act for Labor.
Teddy was the first world leader to submit a dispute to the Court of Arbitration at The Hague, and he was the first head of state to call for convening of what became the Second Hague Peace Conference at which he obtained for Latin American nations equal status with the rest of the world.

OK Skully!
Here is a blurb on the climb from a conservative Republican blog site, and a link to an Alpinist article on the route.

Climbing The Sweet Tooth Spire
By Sheya
Earlier the Governor tweeted the following:
Todd,Willow & I head to Denali to climb Sweettooth=tiny sliver of Mt.McKinley, No.America's highest peak;cool air &elevation=good 4 the soul
Alaska has thousands of peaks, hills, lakes, rivers and other land features some of which have official names and others that have no names other than those given by the locals. Some places in Alaska can appear on a map as one thing while people will call it something else. An example would be Mt. McKinley which is often referred to as Denali.
Alpinist.com shows the prominent southwest ridge of Sugar Tooth Mountain. The spire below the summit is named Sweet Tooth Spire. The larger peak that continues up past the summit of Sugar Tooth is the Eye Tooth (9,000'). Follow the link for more details and pictures. (link to below Alpinist article.)
From Fritz;
It appears that Sarah & Todd are going to do a bunch of Alpine Rock.
Here is the Alpinist link to a 2007----non political climb of Sugar-tooth. http://www.alpinist.com/doc/ALP20/newswire-sugar-tooth-rowe-haeussler
All this is good for the conservative “spin-masters.” At the very least, she can push for snow-machine access to Denali National Park.

"You don't know the Repubs like I do."
You are completely divorced from reality, fattrad. When one is mentally ill, those around them notice the symptoms first- only in the latest stages of the disease might the patient acknowledge their illness and need for help.
Fritz & HDDJ have provided clear, empirical, historic facts about TR and the obvious conflicts with today's GOP- you have provided nothing but denial.
It's time to seek help, fattrad. We're here for you because we care.

Theodore Roosevelt didn't grow up on a farm/ranch - he grew up in New York City. He spent a year on a ranch in North Dakota when he flipped out after his mom and wife died on the same day.
