Iīm not much of a coder, or I would have already written the Greasemonkey script, but it should/could be easy enough to customize so that it hides any specific ST posterīs post.
Just save another copy of the script and customize it for whatever userīs identity you choose.
LEB could hide the Bobs, Rokjox could hide locker, etc.,etc. Itīd be kind of like THE MODERATOR, that you can customize yourself.
now you can sit around the virtual campfire, right next to the person who annoys you the most, and you canīt hear a word they are saying. you donīt even know if they are talking, though you can hear other peopleīs responses....if you DO want to see their posts, open Greasemonkey, deactivate the script, and reload the browser. the unwanted posts reappear...
The script could be kept online on one of the public Greasemonkey script sites. Or even just pasted into the thread here.
Seems like we are up to $100 +
Iīm not particular about where the money goes. Totally depends on someone stepping up to write the script at this point. I, weīd paypal the coder and they can keep the money, send it to Jim Bridwell or whatever they decide. I think giving this to Jim would be a positive climbing contribution. Thanks LEB :-P

Excellent point, Beth, and the one thing about HowWeirdLEB that disappoints me the most: Her textbook narcissism.
I've waded through her posts in the past (Navy Purple Cross awarded, thank you very much), searching for some redeeming tidbit...something of worth to a Climber's Forum like ST.
Nada.
Zilch.
Dry well.
Even her questionable medical advice is bracketed by self-agrandizement and "Me-me-me-itius".
The HowWeirdDean hoax was the last straw. Enabling a narcissist of such monumental proportions was no longer something I could stomach.
Sigh...;-)

I am out of here, guys, for a while. The "nasties" like Bob and Norton are getting on my nerves. Why hang out with such negative energy? It comes through even through the internet. I'll come back some other time when the pit vipers are not quite so prevalent and the nicer people can hold constructive discussion. Such bile an poison some of you spew forth. I don't like to hang around in places where such blackness prevails.
BTW, Norton, since you are ever so critical of me and my presence here on the forum - esp that I do not climb - I took a look at your overall postings. You virtually NEVER post to any climbing threads. You post volumes and volumes to the non-climbing threads yet you question my presence here.
Anyway, I will come back a different day. You guys can have the forum all to yourself for the rest of the night. I don't like hanging around this kind of ugliness.
Thanks John Moosie and apogee and others for sharing your information. Much appreciated. I would love to hang out with you all and chat more with you guys tonight but as I said the negativity and bile here is getting on my nerves. I don't want to participate any more this evening the way the "nasties" are spewing bile. This forum is getting very ugly, of late, and it is beginning to exceed my tolerance of negativity and vileness. The problem with negativity and hate is that it generates so much negative energy that it can overpower anything else.
I came back to once again hang out with so many really great people here who I truly like - and from whom I learn so much. The nasty people here who spew forth hate are really making me question whether it is worth it. I love some of you guys but I just cannot immerse myself in this kind of negativity. It is like a poison.
PS - thanks Jstan. I will take a look at your post closely. Saw it when I was about to close the browser. Jstan, you and so many others are among the people I love to chat with and I learn so much from you and others. I just can't stand the pit vipers here who spew forth so much hate. I hope you understand? I love people like you, apogeee, moosie and so many others here. But you have some companions here who spew forth so much bile that it really is not worth it to hang round and try to interact with the great guys. They just make it too ugly and life is short, anyway.

The problem with this solution of clearing her posts is that it doesn't really solve the problem. Yes, you wont see her posts, but you will still have to wade through all the posts of people who respond to her.
It boggles my mind how much she can dominate this forum. This is me speaking as a guilty party.

fatty, i donīt know how your brain works, but when i look at a page i pretty instantly see chunks of info and read that way. iīm so used to skimming the web, that i canīt very easily NOT see.
i generally donīt bother reading LEBs posts. but she posts even to climbing topics, and all she does is try to bait people - very dysfunctional behaviour. i do tech work for a living and the solution for me is to automate whatever i can. i shouldnīt have to waste my time reading (or seeing) a bunch of crap just because some obsessive person decides they are going to post incessantly to a site about a topic they have no clue about. i prefer their posts to vanish before my web browser can display them.
