I've not had a more humbling experience than trying to keep up with the wide crew at Zander's house of pain. While they were going up and down the cracks, I mostly managed to scuff up my clothes and scrape off skin while only amusing the crew with my huffing and puffing.

Actually, they're very kind and didn't laugh too hard at my discomfort.

Sorry I missed the session.

love the "inside the crack" shots in the video.

Man.. nothing like watching the folks I think I know from supertopo pulling that crack system...

btw - I'm not sure I'll ever have the key-hones to climb that steck-salathe section of crack Zander has set up there... might just be out of my league entirely!!!

cheers to the Wide Crew!!

Post Visual Edit: Dude, love that feet first boulder problem that brits doing./.. pretty proud lookin!!!

the Flip Mino HD was mounted on a telescoping pole I bought at Orchid Supply for 15 bucks, it extends to 11.33' and attaches to a 1/4"x20 bolt that pretty much fit into one of the attachments.

The actual extending pole is for changing light bulbs...

It worked out pretty well for the first go round... I had some ideas for editing the video after I did that quick cut...

...hopefully I can get some good Woodson shots in March...

Hey Zander--

can't quite tell from the pictures what your sheet material is inside the cracks? 5/8 DW or 1/2" durock?

Thanks for the cool post Ed.

Hey J. Werlin,
The chimney is cdx plywood with a D. fir 2x4 frame. I can't remember if it is 5/8 or 3/4. Probably a combination since some is job leftovers. All the cracks are D. Fir beams or 2x12s. Again salvaged off jobs except for the 2x12s I used to extend the OW to 23". Salvaged wood is good because it tend to be beat up and therefor a little less regular.
Hope that helps.

Sorry about your filter, get a new job.

Just sprayed decaf all over the keyboard. That's some funny funny right there.

Hey Jay, where is that gym crack? PGSF?

I should add, this is good inspiration/idea generator. About to build my own "house of pain" in a 2 car garage.

Thanks for the info Z-man. Good use of the job scraps--I always have a pretty good bone yard going here, too.
