Take your time Crimps-one step at a time-you will get there. Elevation and ice really is essential. So I suggest Bnuts and I go up to RMNP for some funcicle climbing while you while away watching Oprah with your feet up and iced.
Be ready! The transition from lying to standing creates a gravity induced blood rush that can be overwhelming. Again take your time. Don't despair! You will be back and happy about it again sooner than impatience recognizes. Take joy in the process. Merry Christmas to Dave and Callie, Pente and the Birdies.
It would be great to see you two at Murphy's this Wednesday. I am sure we can readily arrange an elevated foot placement and ice bag. No one will fault you for not hobbling your healing hoofs down for happy hour. 'specially if you can't be slammin' shots 'cause the Oxi is kickin in.

Heal up quickly, Crimpmeister!
I know the pain of that bunyon thing...it certainly does make crack-climbing an escapade of sheer torture.
And now (soon) you'll be free to actually enjoy climbing again! Yay!

I asked the doctor if he'd just do them both at once. The doctor said no way for the particular procedure I had done. I can see why now. :) At least I'll know about the recovery so I can plan the next hoof adjustment.
As Philo said - ice and elevation is where it is. I cannot see how anyone would not want their hoof elevated. Below the heart and it pools with agonizing pressure. Ow. I got one of the nifty 'cryocuffs' for the icing. It is worth every penny if anyone is considering them.
Brassnuts is amazing as anticipated. I couldn't be in better hands. I'm lucky. :)

I'll bet the doctor would have done both at once if he knew you can walk on your hands.
Great way to stay off your feet while keeping them elevated, and you can still get around.
