"shot full of holes, we wouldn't be having this discussion on line"

Exactly, we would not be having this discussion because we would all be identical puppets without choice. Without freewill!

Well you can believe NOTHING if you like, sounds like you MIGHT believe that (no disrespect).

But the answer is of course Heaven.

Nice disscussion, I enjoyed it.

LEB!

This is my last one. I am new at this and a two finger typer.

I am 2-3 post behind you. Also the old noodle ain't getting any faster.

You can know for sure. It is a relationship. He has the power to do that.

He will not force it. Its very simple, one plan. He made it easy enough for everyone.

It is not decided. Do not believe that lie. You decide.

You have this life to do it.

Thanks Again Bro.

LEB!

Sorry I told a lie, just one more.

I just wanted to tell you I was raised a Catholic myself.

Went through the same things myself.

All though my parents let me do as I please continued in the Catholic church until thirteen.

I became a Christian at 8, Catholic church didn't have to much to do with it except a nun told me that Jesus loved me (basic gospel story). I called on Him myself in a life and death situation.

You can read about it if you like near the beginning of my posts at "Christians take another strike... run to the dugout".

Love you to LEB, John.

Like I was saying, the Catholic church had nothing to do with it.

I probably new a lot less than you did by the time I was eight.

I went to church maybe four or five times and did not have a clue what was going on. It was all in Latin and they stood up and sat down. Smelt kinda funky and the pew was hard. Other than checking out the statues that was about it.

My dad although brought up a Catholic himself, thought little good of it.

When we moved to the States from Canada when I was seven, they had a program in public schools giving you the choice for one hour a week at the end of the school day,to go to your respective denomination or stay in class doing something secular. I usally stayed in class with my friend. A couple times at most, I only remember once, I went.

That was the only time I realy heard about who He was. No do this or that. I think I mainly colored in a picture. I was only seven.
My father would get on his knees every morning and evening, but my parents said little if anything about God.

I got in a very bad situation (I was about to be murdered) and as a last resort I called out "Jesus Please help me" he did.

Read about it in the thread I listed up thread.

He was a serial killer. His name is Ed Ginn.

Peace.

That was 1957 by the way, they stopped the school prayer thing in 1962.

In 1957, I believe it in a somewhat indirect way, saved my life, literally.

Piton Ron "outta hear"

Thanks Pins.

I think your right.

"Outta beer?" Never! Isn't that against the law in Cali?
If not, somebody with some muscle tell Arno to get it on the ticket next time.
Only way I would vote for him again.

Frank Sacherer was very old school about gender relations and reserved that kind of language for guys only. He definitely would not approve of women, let alone ladies, discussing their sex life on ST, let alone a thread that combines wet dreams, buggery, and religion!

His response to all this probably would have been to the guys at least, "Shut up and climb, you ........ !"

Jan!

I only stopped here to discuss another topic that had been misconstrued
in regards to the Israelites and certain functions. The exact verse is quoted by someone up thread.

And then I attempted to educate MH on the use of sheep in the OT. Of course I am sure you have already read all of that.

And lets just cut to the chase it was all MIGHTY HIKERS FAULT.

OK. I confess MH had nothing to do with it.

Like the dude on the Sopranos said "Every time you think you've left, it slowly pulls you back"...my bad.

If Frank was still here he could come over and slap me around a little.

I would then tell him politely "sorry Frank, I needed that".

No seriously Jan I apologise in regards to taking liberty with Franks classic exclamation. I had forgotten, like I posted on your site, how it exactly went. Actually I was trying to decide whether or not to borrow it here. I won't let it happen again.

That was the first time I ever used it out of context. Go figure. I should put into practice some of the reverence we had for him in the 70's.

Thanks for the reality check there Jan, I need them on occasion.
And thanks for bringing Franks classic line back into context for me, I recognised it immediately.

That is also very interesting insight you have provided regarding Frank.
He would have been a very good roll model for us younger lads. I wish he would have stuck around a little longer in the 'Valley'. It would have been an honor to have known him.

Thanks Again. John.

I just took another look at the way you incorporated it into...perfect Jan.

You just made Frank mighty proud.

An easier way is to click on a person's photo then click on forum posts and go through the list which contains the name of the thread and then their comments. It's also a good way to get an idea of a person and their style of contributions.
