Zip was there also, and trying to find a campsite. I hope he got lucky..

Dwain,

Yep, I did get a site. Nice to see you.

Lynne did show up. She took a wrong turn and ended up near Barstow.
She is a serious party animal.

I climbed with her today. She went easy on me. We didn't climb anything over 5.10.

I think I can see red wine in the kite photo posted by Chaz.

Or maybe it's a Doberman.

I was trying to get the big, white bleach spot in the shot. I should have got closer!

More aerial shots in a future thread, as soon as I up-load them. I got a BUNCH of good ones today, mostly of Old Woman.

Today was the Waterchute-GBU- Professional Wrestling trifecta, look for photos in the am, here or esp over at the wide fetish.

We have major aspirations for tomorrow but possible members on the injured list.
Did the hidden valley campground walkabout but saw no familiar faces... sounds like some around these parts tomorrow. I will run down any more kite's strings I see and say 'hi' to the kitor..

Chaz, kite pictures of old women....? What up with that, Dude ?

Speaking of Dudes, we saw Aldude tonight at a serious J.Tree Function. He was late and missed the Cactus Band who are awesome. Weather great for Stephanies outdoor birthday party. Tunes and great food. I could drop alot of names like they do in Hollywood...but will refrain unless pressured.

Climbing today was a trip and a treat. The Arizona Mtn. Group that invited Lynners to their Indian Cove Rope Fest are a terrific bunch of people. Thanks All !

Spent a hilarious, fun and food filled night Thanksgiving Eve with the Bluering contingent. Will post their great photos later. Bluey, you have a fantastic group of friends. Wow !

ekat, said howdy to Bulwinkle, for ya. Nice guy like all the BITD climbers.

Can't do pics tonight cause it is late and we be climbing manana.

Out for now. Hope you are all having a great Holiday Weekend.

Peace and Joy to the World....each and every person. lrl

ps, crack climbing is interesting......

You should have seen lynne with her tamborine. She is quite a break dancer too.

I saw a car fire after leaving the party. It was right across from nomads at the it national park store. Fortunately it was put out before it got to the structure. Kind of spooky.

So lynne, I lead, you feed. What's for breakfast?

Car fire tangent.... Returning to NYC after a trip to Jtree a few years ago, I was in the taxi on the way back from JFK airport. Ahead - a big SUV ENGULFED in flames, just the other side of a concrete divider.

It was surreal. I was tired, it was about 1am after a loooong, delayed landing, flight, and suddenly it felt like I was in a war dream.

As we drove past, I rememebr thinking "I don't see anyone. Thank god they are okay."

I wasn't thinking, obviously. A quarter mile past, I start to hear the sirens, realizing that the rescue had not even yet arrived!!!!

How AWFUL.My mind raced back to the fire scene. There was NOBODY. No cars pulled over nearby. No people standing huddled a safe distance away starting at the fire in shock. Nothing.

I do hope the person or people inside got out safely and were taken into a car by someone else but I still cannot shake thoughts of something much worse.

Back to more pleasant thoughts -

I am glad the holiday in Jtree is becoming Supertopo legendary! MAN am I wishing I was there!!!! Hope there might be some stragglers and new participants out there in the next two weeks so WE can make history(even if it is our own, more quiet history!

happie,

The car did not appear to have anyone in it. I saw it earlier when I took a shower, and I am not even sure it was operational.

Can you please post your dates again that you will be here?

Hope 2 climb again with you on this trip.

We're the first ones back to the ranch, er compound, today. Don't know about anyone else's adventures, but we saw no other climbers in Josh today.

Location, Location, Location

Alternating right/left chicken wings, Jeffe.

Today my bones hurt. It's not how far you climb, but the quality of the distance...
