Great times, great people, and I still need an army to finish the pig. It was great to see soooo many generations of climbers up there sharing our passion.
The accident was unfortunate and Im glad to hear he had no serious injuries......he's gonna be sore for a while.
Many people said it was a wake up call for them to wear a helmet on the ground as well.
During the medical treatment of him a harness was probably thrown in to a pack by mistake. If you find it let me know so I can get it back to him.
Will post up some pictures later as I need to get some pig juice off of me and hit the shower.
Thanks everyone for a great time and hope to do it again next year............

yeah it was a good time. thanks for all the hard work Shawn and Renada, gvilleclimbing has the harness. we climbed today a bit it's pretty windy. the route where littlez sustained an injury is going to have the anchor removed, it's not a very good route and that's #2 casualty.

good to see you there Ron, you should come up more often. it's a mystery who those anchors came from but looks like zero choss removal occurred. there's plenty of quality stuff to climb without that particular route. I call it the mahogany mantle.

From the other thread kennyt...
Tips were thrashed from Fri. I thought about coming down for some pig, but my misanthropic nature prevailed and I did yard work, put out my crawdad trap, and finished up some work instead.

Was cool to meet THocking and several others. Good chat with Ron and Tad with my dad who is down visiting. Nice to see Seth climbing and Shawn and Renada doing the roastin. Unfortunately had plans for the evening and couldn't stay long. My dads visit from Alaska has to come first and Woodfords will be there in all it's sweetness for years to come.

Hi all, this Brian from Gardnerville. I was being belayed by Jim when he got hit by the rock.
Jim is banged up and pretty scraped up too, but nothing was broken and he is up and around but sore as hell. We are so great full for all the help getting Jim down. We were having such a great time up until then. Sorry about getting Tyler's harness in the confusion. We will be taking it to REI on Tuesday and drop it off there. I left couple of slings and binders at the top of the climb I was doing, someday I am sure I will get them back.
I have not had time to read all the posts above, so thanks again everybody.

Hey all!
Christina and I just got back to the home place, after some great climbing in the Alabama Hills today. I wanted to jot down a couple lines here real quick, before I go back to cleaning up the junk show that is our Jeep at the moment.
First off, thank you SO much for putting on a stellar event. Shawn and Dan, thanks for the time you spent cooking and the time you have spent developing a wonderful area. Kenny T, this area is magical - keep up the great work.
It was so awesome to finally meet Ron in person, and was a huge surprise to see Mouse make an appearance - happy bday Mouse, sorry we didn't have time to talk more.
I'm really glad to hear that Jim is going to be OK - please pass on my best wishes. Jim took a huge hit, and as he was dropping, he gripped that rope as hard as he could and fell onto it. That man can belay for me anytime - he is the definition of a world class belayer.
Tyler, thanks for your assistance. Tyler took over the belay, got Jim's partner lowered, and helped get Jim stabilized. When I asked Tyler to run and get my big med kit, I swear he was back in 5 minutes. Everyone there did an amazing job making sure Jim was well taken care of.
It was a great time, in an amazing area, with great people both on and off the Taco. Can't wait for the guide book, and I really hope we can do this again next year - Christina and I will be there!
Edit to add; I brought a couple special guests with us. I had my "Paul's Ball" with me, and left Paul with an awesome view of the canyon on top of a great new 5.7. On Saturday, I also took along Ian's Sticht plate, and it worked as well as new.
