It's not about "who" he is... It's more about how many people get to witness this, how many are going to try to help and when even the national news points out the obvious... The only way a person can get help is when they themselves are open to it.

All the money, all the fame, all the doctors and it is all useless.

People always wonder "what if" when they have failed to save loved ones that were on a similar paths. This just shows that even with all the resources, just how incredible a task it is...

I don't care what he puts in his body.

As long as he doesn't hurt or endanger anybody let the nut ramble.

The extension comes from the same folks at F.A.T. (Free Art & Technology) who brought us a Justin Bieber blocker.

Responsible Nation Does the Right Thing;

LOS ANGELES—Calling the situation "none of our business" and "not worth a second of our time, quite frankly," a responsible and thoughtful U.S. populace uniformly decided this week to ignore Charlie Sheen's recent outbursts, saying they had far more important things to focus on than a sitcom actor's personal troubles. "When Mr. Sheen's public meltdown began, I immediately recognized how a Hollywood star's crisis could be voyeuristically appealing, which is exactly why I said to myself, 'I am better than that; Charlie Sheen's attention-seeking behavior undermines my intelligence, and the sooner I ignore it, the sooner it will go away,'" said 41-year-old Denver accounts coordinator Margaret Atkins, who along with the rest of the nation has paid no attention to Sheen's situation, and has spent the majority of her time concentrating on the unrest in Libya, the collective-bargaining debate in the Midwest, and the health and well-being of her own family. "Not only have I chosen to ignore Mr. Sheen, but thankfully so has the American media, which has once again shown journalistic decency by only reporting the news that people legitimately need to know." Charlie Sheen was not sought out for comment.

Hey S.leeper-at first, when I looked at your avatar, I thought, how interesting that someone on this climbing forum selected a houndstooth fabric swatch for their avatar... then I had to take a closer look, and I see it is a repeat of a guitar. Nice either way, and I must say, had it been the houndstooth, it would have been very unusual.

Did anyone see that Charlie Sheen is recording something with Snoop Dog for his tour? I think that's what I saw last night...

This post most naturally belongs in the Hunter Thompson thread . . . . "

Now that the first episode of Charlie's "Torpedo of Truth" stage act has played out, it looks a helluva lot like HST's live performances back in the day - unstructured, wild, unpredictable, and hated and loved all at the same time.

I predict Charlie will learn as he goes along, and the bad reviews will wane, especially when people realize that what he promises is exactly what he delivers. After all, what did people expect his live show to be?

I think his getting through half of his first show before people started booing and leaving is indicative that he may still be #winning.

Many successful live shows, including those on Broadway, have started off on a rocky footing, but later came into their own.
