Things were looking grim for me on Thursday - 3 pounds under (maybe a few ounces more) but headed to the rain and wind of J-Tree.

Knowing there would be little if any climbing happening I was pretty worried. Not so worried that I didn't drink some of Russ's magic coffee drinks - you know the ones with all the high calorie liquors? Yumm

Anyhoo, somehow, I managed to pull it off and weighed in at 5.6 under this morning!

YEAHHH!!!

Was down 7 pounds before the weekend,
6 pounds as of this morning.

Joined the new 24 hour fitness that opened down the street last week.
With some will power I'll hopefully be cut like Freddy Kruger for the Batholith Bash this June.
grrrr!

FishFinder,

I am so proud of you. It must be difficult for a kept man such as yourself to cook meals for your lady and stay away from the snacking while doing so.

Keep up the good work! Honestly, we'd be devastated if anything happened to you. Stay happy & healthy!

Down 5 lbs tonight. This weekend was bad news though with all the rain and mexican food and not much exercise. It took a light lunch and a solid run to get under the mark.

Sorry, I did weigh myself last night, but didn't manage to get to ST. This challenge is doing a good job of keeping me conscious of what I'm eating, but I haven't really been able to put much energy into actively trying to lose weight so I haven't. I'm only down two pounds to 177.8 which is cool, but I miss the cut off 4 pounds. I've never actually tried to lose weight in our dark winter up here, but usually start in the late spring when natural forces are more in my favor. Will have to ramp it up or I'm going to lose my shirt in this one.

after a bad weekend, im back on my nonfat yogurt, hammer gel, egg white diet during the day. tonight was ground turkey meat tostadas, no cheese, fat free sour cream, no sodium black beans, lettuce organic tomoatos, avocado. non organic onion, and some brown non fat tortilla crisped up tostada style with NO oil.

i did drink beer tho, which is evident cause im posting at 1:30. my hip is still fuxored and i only manged 3.7 miles before it started tweaking so i walked in from there.

Though I'm not officially in, I'm doubt quite a bit. I call it the poverty plan. Strict budget=little eating, very healthy eating, no $$ coffee, etc.

So, if you really want to drop the poundage, send any and all cash (checks are welcome too) to me. It makes losing weight fast and easy. :)

You can just adjust my previous numbers down by a pound.
Bike to nowhere is reversing much neglect of recent years.
My knees and legs feel better than they have for a long, long
time.

I'm doing well. I dropped another pound since yesterday, and am down 15 since I started dieting in December (I'd put more poundage on after knee surgery in November, and hit an all-time max). I moved back to California last year after 7 years in DC. I thought I'd get back to California weight without really trying. Didn't happen. Now I figure I'm 10 pounds from optimal.

I had my last day of knee rehab today and am back to a normal workout schedule. I think I'm going into the back of the closet tonight, to recover some pants that I haven't been able to wear for a long time.

hey jbaker looks like your doing pretty good yourself. i only started on jan 14 because of the money challenge and am very happy to be down 11.

it must be difficult with a knee injury that slows you down. i know it would be for me. probably be sittin in a lounge chair on meds snacking .

my goal is to get down to about 215 in 6 months. still over the expected weight of a six foot male but i dont think i could handle the 185. blowin in the wind.

keep up the good work and good luck in the closet.

Prod, Hammer Gel is like GU or Cliff Shot, but better (IMO). It contains no fructose or sucrose, but uses maltodexrine instead.

i didnt do very good today. was upu till 1:30am working so i didnt run this morning.

my 'boss' turned 50 today so there was a potluck lunch. i kept it in check, but still didnt eat great, and i had cake. at least i skipped breakfast since i knew lunch was coming.

wife made chicken catchatorie(sp) and some yummy butternut squash thingies with goat cheese, olive oil and a bread crumb topping.

i feel pretty bloated, pretty sure i have put a lb or 2 back on.
