Toadgas, I'd stay indoors.
I was at the gun store this afternoon. It was packed!
Some guy (obviously used way too much meth in the day) interrupted the guy giving my buddy the run down between 9mm and .40's. He asked for a vertical foregrip with a disorientating light on the front end so he can "ya know, disorientate people who come at him."
You want that as#@&%e to run around with a gun? Lol.

Citizens with concealed carry often thwart crimes, it's just hardly ever reported by the liberal media.
This one just happened the other day in Florida...

Most people know guns aren't things to joke with. That's why these mass serial killers use them. They want to be taken seriously.
You never see anyone run around with a ... high powered lazer thingy-mo-bober like you were talking about, zappin everyone with it.
Though it's easy to get guns on the street, they need to make it a lot harder to get them legally. Make/Model, doesn't matter.
The 10 day law is a good law. Gives people time to cool down.
You know you can't go to a range and rent a gun unless you have your own, or you're with someone?
They have a lot of safety measures for gun access. Some people see it as a violation of civil rights. It's precautionary.
It'd be nearly impossible to track down every gun owner in America, and give them some sort of sanity test. And even then, when only the goods have the guns, there aren't nearly enough out there to outweigh the crazies.

There is no need for people to own automatic weapons... they serve only one purpose and Aurora Colorado experienced an example.
No one needs to hunt or defend the house or conceal carry -- all valid uses of firearms -- these type of high powered weapons.

Nobody needs to defend their home?
What are you talking about?
I don't think he had automatic. From how they described it, he was only picking people off 1 by 1.
If you were gonna describe someone who just shot at you, and they used an automatic, would you say "pop, pop, pop" ?
Anti gun nuts are as crazy as pro gun nuts.

That video from FL is a one in a million example. Much more often it is a domestic dispute, suicide, gang shooting or accident. VT is very quiet state. Only 3 or 4 instances of self defence with a gun in the last 15 years to my knowlege. lots of other murders, suicides and accindents in that time frame.

Too many people think they can be a hero with a gun.
A lot of people think they can change the world with a gun.
I like shooting clay pigeons with my gun.
I'd hate to have to shoot someone. I hope that day never comes.
Shoot someone on Sunday, wake up and on Monday, lawyers will be tearing you apart.
"Could you have not shot?" <-- Rarely will you ever answer that question with "no."
Like in that FL cyber cafe case, that old guy didn't need to draw. He didn't need to shoot those guys in the back. They could of escaped with a few hundred dollars.
They had a crowd control set up. You're not gonna go on a mass murder with your friend, when you only have 1 gun.
They just wanted the money.
Any other state, that old man would be out on bond right now for attempted murder.

You know you can't go to a range and rent a gun unless you have your own, or you're with someone?
It's not a law, but a rule that most ranges have.
..and do you know why that is?
People go to a shooting range, rent a gun and then commit suicide.
Like in that FL cyber cafe case, that old guy didn't need to draw. He didn't need to shoot those guys in the back. They could of escaped with a few hundred dollars.
So I guess you can see the future? Amazing you know the outcome before it happens.

Sad day for anybody that got shot last night, in any town. No telling how many did.
Last week in Tuscaloosa, Al. (University of Albama) A guy walks into the back door of a bar (in the early a.m.) and shoots 17 people.
A few weeks ago shooting at Auburn University, 3 killed. At a poolside party at a apartment complex.
2007 statistics:
AT LEAST 266 Americans were shot. Every day, a third of them (82 daily) died.
48,676 people were intentionally shot who survived. (NCIPC)
18,610 people were unintentionally shot who survived. (NCIPC)
17,352 suicides (intentionally shot themselves who died) (CDC)
12,632 criminal firearm deaths (killed in a crime by guns) (CDC)
97,270 total
29,984 died
(not including deaths of people shot by police)
(does not include "accidents")
There are 90 guns for every 100 people in the US.
39% of households in America have guns.
No gun law enacted now will change that.

.As it was pointed out earlier 120 years ago...
Yeah, but most of us - and certainly everyone choosing to live in Aurora, Co - don't live in that world anymore. And in this world there is no reason on earth for a U.S. citizen to possess the weapons necessary to shoot 71 people in a matter of moments.
And you folks can post as many videos and tales of using guns in self-defense as you want, but for every gun pointed or fired in self-defense there are probably thousands of guns pointed and fired in tragedies or potential tragedies. Sure, it happens on occasion, but compared to what guns really get used for in this country, the argument is total and complete bullsh#t.

Nothing to be done. Body count too low. Not a record. The NRA, the most radical organization in the U.S., has every politician by the balls. Too many gun nuts, so best not to rile them up. Hope they sleep off a cheap beer hangover on election days. NRA motto:
Keep 'em scared so they send money.

Go ahead tell us what it is....
And until they can keep them out of the hands of criminals, I will be packing mine for self defense.
it's ok to kill other people
BTW it IS ok to kill other people that are shooting at you.

To be able to murder someone. I see concealed gun carriers as potential murderers.
Wow. talk about fear motivating your thinking.
It's typical for people to be afraid of things they don't know about or understand.
BTW, criminals see those who don't carry as potential targets.
