This one was a live catch. He didn't go out yet. He's in captivity now.

The victims of the cinema shooting were being treated in at least six hospitals included a 6-year-old. The youngest person treated was a 4-month-old baby, who has been released. The oldest reported patient is 45.

Authorities said the gunman had appeared at the front of the theater during the film and released a canister of tear gas. Witnesses told reporters that the gunfire erupted during a shootout scene in "The Dark Knight Rises."

"It was mass chaos," witness Jennifer Seeger told TODAY. The gunman shot the ceiling and then "he threw in the gas can, and then I knew it was real."

"I told my friend, 'We've got to get out of here,' but then he shot people trying to go out the exits," she recalled. She said the shooter made his way up the aisle, shooting as he went, saying nothing.

They should forget about teaching kids about earthquakes and tornadoes. They
need to learn what to do in these situations. If you don't have a good go
at an exit then drop and play dead.

"and NOT ONE concealed weapon carrier was there? pity.... "

Who knows? Maybe there was.

I know I'm not going to engage someone firing a rifle and a shotgun with any handgun I'd be carrying unless he's between me and my way out.

yet another instance of 'if someone else had a gun'. what a shame, too bad someone just didn't shoot him and do everyone a favor.

In Denver, it is legal to own an AR-15, FNFAL, HK91, MAK90, etc, as long as you do not insert a 21+ round magazine......wow. 20 automatic rounds as opposed to more really makes a difference? Not to 12 people. Sad.

You sure you don't put a hand cannon in your front pocket just to make your junk look bigger?

I'm f*#king over guns. Lets go back to swords and arrows. This country and all it's f*#king guns is just going to shoot itself to death. Cragman put the gun down, no one is blasting up your little hamlet in the sierras dude.

FWIW, there were apparently a number of active servicepersons in the audience (not sure if any were victims)

Cragman, seriously... you carry a gun everywhere you go? What are you like the Chuck Norris of June Lake? Or rather the El Camino Clint Eastwood.

Seems like there's been an inordinate # of similar shootings in CO...is that just me, or wtf?

Edit: Cragman, maybe that makes you feel safer, but knowing that really only makes me more worried.
