Dingus, perhaps this is what you wanted:

LEB, try this.
It is an extensive record, but barely scratches the surface.

Probably better than tinyurl. But random could be interesting.

"I can engage in further psychological probing with that person."

Seems like a futile effort to try to "understand" anyone on an internet forum.
Especially someone who is trolling.
Why bother?
Do you actually "learn" anything factual or just what the troller wants you to believe is true?

Maybe if you actually went climbing you would begin to gain some insight as to what makes "us" tick.
(not a slight on your "non-climber" status, just an observation)
Or...
actually meet some of us...otherwise we could all be making this sh#t up!

LEB, you are not playing by the official rules of trolling. You might as well try to capture the wind.

That statement sells dingus "He's one of us. He belongs here. We don't need to get under his skin, examine his brain, or analyze his motives till the cows come home. He's here and that dude belongs here, with us. He's family."

Thanks for the links and insight ....wb

P.S. Dingus, how come you don't sell new or used cars dude? :-)

WOW. Bow down to LEB.
Ok...I'm removing the hook now and swimming away.

I think Lois is really a nurse in a Psych ward and she thinks we all need to be psychoanalyzed.
I can feel my head shrinking as I type.

Bwahahahahaha. LEB, you are one hilarious troll.

LEB writes: Finally, one cannot indefinitely create a troll and not in some way interject himself or his ego into it - it creeps through in subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) ways. It is a matter of patience and observation - sometimes a bit of prodding but ultimately, it comes through. That is how I eventually figured out that "Juan" was a fake.

Really? Because your posts seem to demonstrate that you figured it out because you were told...

Of course Shack, I know how to search the forum but I am not certain at this point what I am to be searching for. We have so many cross conversations in this thread that I am no longer certain as to what or which troll you are referring. Remember I am the one who initially did a search on "please advise" but that proves nothing.

and this:

Well, let's bring on the fire, then. Let's see his stuff. I certainly hope it is a damn site better than what we have seen thus far.

Oh, and then Shack had to spell it out for you:
OK...last hint.
Search for BATTEN!

Trust me, I care littte if you're a troll in Juan's clothing, or just a curious and verbose lady with a bunch of free time. But, don't pretend you haven't been suckered. That's part of the fun! (especially when you can sit back and watch the fish get hooked)

Oh, and one other thing from that thread:
Climbing is absolutely not what binds you. - Why not just try it, and get back to us? Climbing IS what binds us, and we might make a lot more sense after trying it...
Ouch!

"you should see Jesus"

How will you know it is Jesus? Have you seen him or her? He must be wrinkled like a dried prune if he is still around after 2,000 years.

Our internet at the solar observatory was down all day.

But I am back now.

Lois, I really do not consider myself all that much of a troll today.

I like stimulating interesting conversations.

I get these crazy thoughts and like to float them.
A lot of it is hit or miss. But

I have a British Sense of Humor. Dark at times.

I only post as JuanDeFuca, so I still have no idea who else you think I am.

Since Jesus Christ is a bonafide saktyavesa avatar and pure unalloyed servant of God, one who utters his name will benifit.

This is the truth of the transcendental nature of the Lord. Even his so called enemies benifit.

He is the ultimate troller ......... do you know.....

LEB, the beauty of the well done troll. You think you have discovered something. Not!

I think you are the best troll and we are the trollees. Nothing is real in cyberspace.

"He is too vapid in his current permutation. Nice but he still needs a bit more work."

Troll trolling Troll. Classic, unless the Troll is committing incestuous trolling. Trolling oneself is demented at best.

Well, I don't understand your motivations any better than I did yesterday but I feel like I know "you" better.

Less vapid, more filling...

Thanks.

Trolling.........Posting with the intent to create chaos in the mind of the reader. But then you already knew that. Right LEB?

Most trolls appreciate humor. Even if only they see the irony in their mildly evil deeds.

These climbing forums seem to be centered on trolling. Man on the EDA (electronic development boards) it's unheard of. Yes, I believe tolling creates a "troll-sensitive" forum especially here. Some of the stuff that goes on here is definitely turd grade.

But this place is the romper room ......

LEB - Sorry to harp on the 'verbosity' of your posts. Despite a jab or two at your expense, I actually give you a LOT of credit for hanging with the folks here, and never holding back your opinion. Not easy with this crew.

However, I have to admit my eyes do glaze a bit at the length of some of your responses. As you've aptly demonstrated, you are capable of succint, effective replys, although I postulate that you probably enjoy the writing of the posts as much as you do reading the responses to them.

'Verobosify' away, and seriously, let one of those east-coasters take you climbing! I bet you'll have an 'aha!' moment...
