"What we didn't do in Iran was give them free elections, opportunities for women and an economy not only based on oil."

And Iraq's new constitution, based on Sharia law gives "opportunities for women?"

Hahahaha, hey, wait a minute, that's not funny....

Edit:All hooked up with aipac.org? Not one of those real "fiscal conservatives" eh?....what was the appropriation, 2.35 billion or sumtin' like that in 'our' tax dollars this year?

The difference is technology, OBL/Taliban/Jihadists/Muhajadeen have no defense against a fleet of armed UAV's. They may face a battle field with no one to attack.

Actually, we are the ones who will end up in this position. That's how guerillas win wars, after all. That's how they won this one, too.

The Turks were technologically superior to the Arabs in 1916. They had trains, planes and automobiles. The Arabs had camels. The Turks got their butts handed to them, even though they controlled Medina and Mecca right up to their capitulation.

You really need to read about the Arab revolt. The part about Arab troops who served in the Ottoman Army is particulary revealing. And "The Seven Pillars of Wisdom" is a great read to boot.

Said it b4, say it again, "with what Army?"

Then you'll say, "we have 150k around the world."

Then I'll say, "seen the recruiting numbers?"

Repeat ad nauseum. Notice you didn't address the 380 tons or should I say 370 something tons.

Read closer FT; you missed all the "good" points. We could say the same about riots in Cleveland a few years ago...

But here's some more cud to chew on...about women in Iraq...

"They said what I am wearing is devil clothes," she says of the time she was recently turned away from the main mosque in Baghdad's Shiite Kadhimiya neighborhood. She pulls incredulously at the shapeless black robe that got her banned because openings between the fasteners revealed flashes of the long formless dress underneath.

Looks like we "got our hands full"©...

imagine- Saudi king, US, George Bush, Saddam Hussein, and Humanitarian in the same sentence.

The Saudi king has asked US President George Bush to release Saddam Hussein’s half brother on humanitarian grounds, the daily Al-Riyadh reported today.

Request is rejected, let him rot in hell. He gets four slices of bacon for breakfast everyday.

judging by who's holding hands with who these days, I'd say your quickest way to the Cabinet level or Justice Fattrad would be to figure out how SH's Bro could 'leave' and have it be the 'liberals' fault.

And now, just over a third of people polled, 35%, approve of the job that dimwit in the White House is doing:

Cheney's approval rate is 19%.

There is also a great article in the New Yorker about Brent Scowcroft's displeasure with Bush's and the Neocon's "strategy" in Iraq:

Time to be born again again?

46 percent of those who considered themselves "born again" said they would support Congress considering impeachment.

well I read the article. but that's an interesting proposition. guess I'll have to look into it.
Your right. I have found all kinds of this chicanery now that you mention it.

that RJR atttorney O'Rielly in charge of investigating DeLay

Brown kept on to investigate Brown and FEMA

or Senator Roberts from Kansas taking a look at 'Phase Two' of the Intelligence Committee report.

I better start looking a little more carefully at my sources.

Fatty, there are numerous polls out this week and they all basically say the same thing: 35-39% approval rating for the Prez and a downward trend.

did you know that hitler also found a way to blame everything imperfect about german society on the jews? uniting against a common enemy of all decent people, it's possible that it could work for you wingers, but you should be aware that it's been tried before.
