Someone here once referred to him as "the best president since Reagan," I believe, which is a funny qualifier in and of itself. But apparently even that's not likely to be considered the case:

Poll: Bush Presidency Judged Unsuccessful
Oct 13, 4:27 PM (ET)

By WILL LESTER
WASHINGTON (AP) - For the first time, more people say George W. Bush's presidency will be judged as unsuccessful than say it will be seen as a success, a poll finds.
Forty-one percent of respondents said Bush's presidency will be seen as unsuccessful in the long run, while 26 percent said the opposite. Thirty-five percent said it was too early to tell, according to the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press.
In January, 36 percent said successful and 27 percent said unsuccessful.
The increasing pessimism about Bush's long-term prospects comes at a time when many polls have found the public increasingly is negative about Bush's performance and the direction of the country.
Seven in 10 said they want the next president to offer policies and programs that are different from the Bush administration's.
Only half said they wanted the next president to offer different policies in 2000, at the end of the Clinton presidency. By a 2-1 margin, people said the Bush administration has had a negative impact on politics and the way government works.
People were inclined to say Bush's policies have made things worse on a wide range of issues such as the federal budget deficit, the gap between rich and poor, health care, the economy, relations with U.S. allies, the tax system and education. By 47 percent to 30 percent, those surveyed said Bush has improved the situation with national security.
Republicans give the president mixed reviews in many of these areas. Almost half of Republicans said Bush's policies have made the deficit worse and just 12 percent say he has improved that situation.
The poll of 1,500 adults was taken Oct. 6-10 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

One question: where were all these people last November when we had a chance to get this Son of a Bitch out of office once and for all?

There were mindlessly buying the "flip-flop" BS.

Apparently, politics really is all about the negative...

All I have to say is this (as I have stated numerous times before): Bush will be found out. The truth well out.

Unfortunately the little c*cks*cker will have finished his term of office before he can be drummed out, along with his cronies/handlers.

But it will happen and the idiots who supported him will realise what a sham he and his lot were.

BTW, landcruiserbob dictates ("DPATRICK, Go back to your political threads") that I only post on political threads. Thanks Bob, you've saved me a lot of time.

"Bush unsucessful.."

Ah, yep. Or as my kids would say: "Duh?"

Actually I'd argue that he has been highly successful at stealing the national treasure for this friends, fracturing the political covenant to deal honestly with problems, and putting our nation in great danger from people who wish us harm. He's been highly successful at killing 2000 of our children and hundreds of thousands of innocents. He's been highly successful at running up the national debt that will be passed on to our children. He's been highly successful in rolling back environmental law. He's been highly successful (until recently) of controlling the news. I could go on... but why bother. You have to give him credit where credit is due.

Keep dreaming Fattrad. Actually, do the LEOs you work with know that you are on drugs? Read my earlier post on this thread. It will happen, but unfortunately the truth won't well out until Dummy and friends are out of office (unless the heavens are smiling on the good people of this world and the little sh*t gets kicked out while in office. Fingers crossed).

But the good thing is that the truth will eventually be revealed and Bush will be reviled in most of America, except for a few die hard nutcases. I hope you aren't one of those after your Bush balloon is burst.

fattrad,
You consider another Islamic republic controlled by Iranian mullahs an improvement?

Please advise.

fattrad,
Tenet asked me awhile back to interrogate Chalabi for him. Chalabi confirmed that the Iranians have been playing Bush like a second hand fiddle for several years now. Their bitterest and strongest regional enemy was removed by the Great Satan for them. Brilliant strategy by the mullahs. At the same time, their most dangerous foe was weakened militarily and financially. Talk about two birds with one stone, and at no cost to Iran.

According to Chalabi, laughter roared through the Iranian Foreign Ministry when they saw their man Chalabi sitting next to the President of the United States during the State of the Union address.

Like a puppet on a string...

This Frank Luntz, FT?

And that Iraqi election(eered) pretty fraudy, eh?

Independent Electoral Commission of Iraq said it needed several more days to complete the count "after finding that the figures from most provinces were too high".

Looks like he started his war on terror in the wrong place (Iraq).

Where is Bin Laden??

"Can you then fault someone for doing what he said he would do."

Short answer; yes.

Long answer-you're gonna have to look your statement in context of say...the "{un}scripted" dialogue with soldiers...

...or raping 10-year-old boys

...or "who" has security clearances

...or (insert long litany)...

Not really, IMO it's something that each one has to conclude. Try some other media sources like iht.com and bbc for a few weeks. Watch "Outfoxed" sometime, that'll flesh out one's "world view™"

To pull a Bush™...
