I can't blame them. If I saw someone taking aerial shots using a kite, I'd be right there asking them all kinds of questions too.
Because I'm a total professional, I can shuck and jive with anyone who's curious, and still get my shots.

Not just me, Susan. There were at least twenty of us KAPers there for KAPinCA. ( KAP = kite aerial photography ).
We spent the last couple weeks flying cameras using kites all over the Greater Bay Area. Several countries were representing, including England, Scotland, The Netherlands, Switzerland, French Polynesia, South Africa, Argentina, Singapore, and Philadelphia.
