There is a note about camping at http://yosemiteclimbing.org/....

I emailed last week, but as of yet not gotten a reply(I know they are busy, and don't expect to get reply so quickly, but just posting the info I have).

Looks like from the website

http://yosemiteclimbing.org/

that this year you e-mail for reservations to

yosemitefaceliftcamping@hotmail.com.

Looking forward to it!

Doug, we need to coordinate with Ken, MisterE and justthemaid, and of course FatTrad. IIRC, the big day is Tuesday. Ken likely has speakers, films and other entertainment lined up for Wednesday through Sunday nights, at the Visitor Centre. (I see a mop in my future...) So Tuesday and Tuesday evening may work best for an event.

I am not sure how, but I hope to get to FaceLift this year. Money is an issue, and considering I don't know how I am going to pay for gas/van maintenance when I head west again in NOvember, can't really see how I can fully commit to the Facelift :(

At any rate, I will certainly be donating some of the chalkbags I'm making as raffle prizes.

Still looking forward to this!

Unfortunately I won't be able to get as much time off as I had hoped, so the time I am actually there will depend on how long it takes us to do Skull Queen. Hopefully we will be back down in time for Friday and Saturday at least.

That's the plan thus far anyways. See y'all there!

I'll be attending my first facelift. Looking forward to seeing folks and having the opportunity to not let the truth get in the way of a good story on friday night.

Yeah, John has way of putting young whippersnappers like Jim in their place, but oh so diplomatically. He cheerfully outworks them.

Actually I think Jim would find what I do pretty boring. But Facelift is a place where fun is the whole object. Supporting that beautiful place is more fun than just about any other thing one can do.

We do have to have a who hah for Erik and Skip though.

Geez, you guys always plan this thing right in the middle of Wall Season. I am scheduled to be on El Cap during those dates, unforunately, as I hate to miss out on Gretchen and Missy refilling my beer mug again and again.

If you see the Crab-O-Ledge, you know where I'm at. Will tidy the base and summit as per usual.

We'll miss you, Pete. Sure you can't squeeze in a day helping? We promise not to assign you to the jstan team. And don't forget to lend your pals some beer money. It's a good deal.

did you get a confirmation response for your request?

I didn't.

Ken - assuming that it's Ken looking after it - tends to do YCA work on evenings or more likely weekends. He's a busy guy. But maybe he has a part-time colleague who's looking after these things. Also, if I were taking care of it, I'd wait until a reasonable number of requests had been received, then process them all at once. More efficient.

Mighty Hiker, it's not that hard to outwork me.
