Yup, only six months to go. The 2011 Yosemite FaceLift starts on September 21st, 2011. Not to be missed. Everyone will be there, including you. A good time for the whole fam damily.

(The autumn equinox this year is September 23rd, which is very late, so it falls - so to speak - during the FaceLift, but not right at its start. But rumour has it there will be something else to celebrate on the 21st.)

Booking my vacation as we speak....I can hardly wait! What wonders await us? More asphalt in the trees? Another motorhome over the side? Camp 6 hazmat clean up? Chopping of WOS?

Way too far out right now for me to call it, but I think I would like to attend this year.
I will know more by August or so, hopefully I will be able to find someone to share a site with. What the hell, it's only an 8 hour drive as long as the pass is open.

Ok, let's make it official. We got permission from Ken to do this at Facelift. It will be the first Facelift wedding!
We are getting married at Sentinel Beach on Wednesday September 21st 10AM - 12. We have the permit for that day. It's nice, cuz it is so close to the campground where we will do something afterwards.
We also have reserved 2 nights in Yosemite Lodge, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. We got the last non-lodge room in the place 6 months beforehand!

I'm prolly gonna be game for another SuperTacoFest again. Fish and meat. Maybe just fish again. It went pretty well last year.
I'll do the fish, Jeff can handle the meat...so to speak.

Bump - hopefully Ken will see this, and update us on plans.
A little bird has mentioned that this autumn is the 50th anniversary of the first ascent of the Salathe Wall, and asks whether any festivities related to that might be combined with the FaceLift?

Y'all are encouraged to attend, bringing all your party tricks and silliness. (Legal varieties only, natch.) If Doug is there, maybe we can finally answer the question as to whether it's better to fish or cut bait. The SuperTopo Morals & Ethics Committee can adjudicate, chaired by Jeff and Matthew.
Perhaps as in other years there could be a fish event on the Tuesday evening - unless that conflicts with Ken's plans - to get us all in the mood for the festivities on Wednesday morning.
