I'd love a separate CLIMBING forum.

Or, a "hide posts from certain user(s)" function. Has anyone written scripts for the Firefox add-on Greasemonkey? Looks like it can be used to make designated posts invisible. If I have more time I might play around with it.

Are there any developers out there with Javascript/Greasemonkey experience who could pull this off, and build a client side script that would work with this forum?

I'd pay a few bucks to have such blocking capability. Maybe we can take up a collection for a working script!

edit - there is a certain poster here who i hardly ever bother reading - would be even better if what they write simply didn't appear by the time my browser renders it :-)

"Just DON'T read what you are NOT interested in..."

I'd prefer either invisibility or blank white space, instead of troll/mind spew :-)

ps i'd never use a script like that on bvb though!

We've been through this discussion before. Don't change anything. Even the long awaited trip report function didn't quite work out optimally. Don't change nuttin'.

Fluoride,

Sorry if the Monty Python Video upset you.

That was not my intention.

I figured it was the Bible post that got you upset, so I for some reason thought about what used to happen to woman if they disagreed with church doctrine in the middle ages.

Locker and Roc, you guys are cracking me up. So funny, Roc, you know you love it, you just pretend to be offended.
and Juan, you have allot of things to apoligize for, but posting that Monty Python video about Fluoride is not one of them. That was friggin hilarious dude...still laughing. Oh sh#t, I got to go find a trip report now, theyre all knocked off the front page from all the humor going down...

I am done. I will not participate in another such absurdity as those threads, ever again

This is knott the first, knott the second, but the THIRD time you've teased us in such gratuitous fashion.

You'll be back as always, you little psycho attention whore...

aren't alpacas native to South America? Is that where your photo is from?
Are they friendly creatures?

hey there floride/beth and all...

say, i love all the supertopo relationships that climbers have...
each day, you find neat folks that share how they are doing...

i love to read the climbing stuff too:
i've tried to bump the wonderful climb topics, when i have had time at night, being that i enjoy them...
but lately, as i've been too busy, thus: i skim through and see who the "person, place, or situation" is as to who is sick, hurt, or traveling, or whatever, to check on how they are doing, as they are "climber family here"...

but it is so very true, i don't have climber-topics on climbing, to post, myself, so i feed the fire, that way, if i post:

many times, though, i have some "in between stuff" as to the outdoors, that still kind of fit in, as in sharing (but not good as to stimulate climbing ONLY, but i do try to stay on base)...

SO that is why i try to do THIS idea, when i can:
it IS a great idea to send these great writers to the top, too, as roger said---they are full of amazing things that shouldn't be forgotten...

but if is does change too much here--i fear just a bit that all the GOOD aspects of being so open and free as to where topics go, may put too many "doors" to have to go and open, to find everyone... (sometimes great climber shares, fun thoughts, etc, are added to some of the most plain off-topics, as well... i would sure miss any and all of you folks, then, and such...

but for sure:
i am so very glad, for the TRIP tabs, though... when i do get more time, i can just read them... sadly, this has been an odd "project" time for me, and i have not beeen able to read all the trips and ask questions or share about them, and i miss them... but at least on this "forum" side i can find everyone in "one spot" to hunt the down for the night to say:
hey there...
how are you?
are you doing okay?
what are you going to be up to, climb or travel wise, etc?

well, like i said, it sure would be harder if everyone was spread out even MORE...

*not meaning you don't have great points, but it would be harder if folks got all split up too much, i reckon is what i mean...

oh well, just sharing...
say, i hope the best comes from all of this...
god bless to you all..
:)
