That's the one. Blessed Virgin Mary they call it.

Wow, what't the black and white place. It looks awesome. The industrial stuff makes it cooler and I'm kind of a nature boy.

Any ideas where that one is munge?

I'm stumped and I know California pretty well. Though SE Cal is a black hole for me.

Is that basalt?

Only place I've seen that fits with Loomis' B&W picture is El Chorro. But El Chorro is hardly a "hidden" gem, except to North Americans. Color shot below showing part of the old Camino del Rey walkway along the cliff face.

Loomis, your killing me and making me wish for summer. I know the other shots for sure but the one "near" Death Valley looks a lot like a few of the canyons I have spied in the Inyos.

Loomis, I'm heading out near Red Rock Cyn this weekend to camp with my son and explore a little. There was a old quarry just north of Red Rock off the Burro Schmidt Tunnel Rd. that had some cool looking bouldering that i am going to try and find again. I'll take some pictures.

How did the surgery work out?

Scott strikes with the old bait and switch (although the trek through Red Bikini Land looks interesting).

I nabbed the fa with a partner. There has been no second ascent.
700 feet, 5.11c chimney and offwidth (foreshortening makes this look really small)
