Charlie Sheen could still pull off a Ray Charles.

"What bends me about him is that he bags on our country constantly; the very country that made him both rich and famous."
I was reading about Charlie and feeling he needs help more than anything else, when I came upon this quote and it started me thinking.
I don't know Sean Penn, only what I have seen in the press and he does criticize the US and some of her policies. He has been critical about the wars and and the responses to the devastation in New Orleans and Haiti. yet, like people have stated above he put his time and money into changing the things he believes in.
On the other hand I look at the other people that have been made wealthy by this country. Wall street and banks are making a fortune right now while many of us have had our jobs cut, hours reduced, benefits slashed. Their wealth is directly connected to the country and yet what do they give back?
Personally my salary was cut by 30 percent this year, not because profits are tight. Our company is showing record profits, stock prices are through the roof and the talk is now that they will cut more of my benefits . One man runs this company, this country made him very rich. I am not alone in this predicament . The very wealthy are getting wealthier. The middle class and below are being squeezed and we have our country to thank.
I will not bash my country, but I sure wish there was a different attitude towards forwarding our people.
maybe more like Sean Penn's?

Do you know anybody who has a job?
Most of the guys I know who work, work for folks you would call wealthy.
Go to L.A., and look at those houses clinging to the hills in Hollywood where the wealthy live.
Who do you think built those houses? Other rich people?
No. It was regular guys, like my brother-in-law the iron worker, and my friend the plumber ( who does custom work almost exclusively ).
Without wealthy people spending or investing, none of us would be working.
I call that *giving back*.

Nepotism may have opened doors for Sean Penn as it did for Michael Douglas (and most certainly for the person who's actions in abusing a woman began this thread years ago), but you are only as good as your last three pictures. So talent will out.
As for people voicing their views; I don't have to agree with them to fight for the right for them to express themselves, and believe I am due the same right.

"I think it might have been too soon to be Charlie's baby, but you never know. I get pregnant very easily," Kacey, who has had three previous abortions, told Radaronline.com.
Kacey said that when she and Charlie had sex during a 36-hour cocaine binge that landed him in the hospital, they tried using a condom but she "kept having to put it on again."
WOW now that's class.....

Drugs - not to mention our economy - are just one more product of our species intelligence and evolution. It remains to be seen if our evolutionary path (or route) is a dead-end box canyon or not. But for Charlie, looks like it was/is one hell of an adventure. Stay tuned...
Almost as great as our propensity to make and use tools is our propensity to abuse them. The proverbial double-edge sword.

"What bends me about him is that he bags on our country constantly; the very country that made him both rich and famous."
Meanwhile, the dems only bag on half the country, while the repubs bag on the other half.
Ted Turner has his politics that he spouts, so does Donald Trump.
Glen Beck is non-stop bagging, so is Rush.
Heck even the Nutjob baptist church in Kansas gets to do it.
And now *sigh*, our favorite nutjob, Charlie.
I think it's called freedom of speech, maybe you've heard of it......

Do you know anybody with a job who works for a poor person?
Um, yeah.
I'm a self employed carpenter. The majority of my clients are not rich or wealthy, just middle class folks who need things in their homes fixed or changed.
If I'm contacted by someone who genuinely needs some work done to keep their home functioning, yet can't afford my wage, we work something out.
I bill on a sliding scale.
It's called humanity and humility.
That statement really speaks volumes about your mentality, Chaz.
Now, back to Sheen.
Anyone hear his interview on Stern last week?
I bet it was hilarious and sad at the same time.

Actually it was Charlie's mouth that killed Two And A Half Men.

I agree, Charlie's mouth got him fired and like most drug addicts he is blaming them for his actions.
He's a scum bag.
He has slept with prostitutes, he has admitted that in court. He has bragged about his drug abuse, it's all over YouTube and... He has an arrest record that shows a history of violence against women.
I agree that we all make mistakes and we should all be allowed some growing room, but this guys... This is his way of life. He isn't going to stop unless the bottom falls out or... Sadly he dies from it.

Chaz have you ever heard of feudalism.
It proves the rich make themselves richer & crush anyone they can.
Mexico has the richest person in the world - It has 4 of the wealthiest people in the world & the lowest taxes in the western hemisphere. The only place with lower taxes is corporate America.
The average wage for a Mexican police officer is $400 a month.
This is why they can be bought. The wealthy have their own police.
The U.S. was built by having a free education & room for the poor to produce wealth.

I want to pipe in.
I was talking to a new employee last week at my place of work. It went something a little like this. "why don't they(employer) just buy a new laser. I mean they(the owners) are worth millions."
Me: "Do you really think our company has an account somewhere with millions in profit just laying around? The assets are liquid. As much comes in goes right back out to buying raw materials, payroll, insurance, profit sharing, paying off the new weld building, r&d, as well as maintenance and up-keep of the machines, and so on and so forth....
So just because you have a business does not mean you have money. Most businesses will not turn a profit within the first four years of their existance.....
If I'm contacted by someone who genuinely needs some work done to keep their home functioning, yet can't afford my wage, we work something out.
I bill on a sliding scale.
Me and my wife were struggling a little while ago when our air went out. We recieved a referal to someone like you and now he has a customer for life. we refer him to anyone and everyone. He said don't worry, pay when you can. You have my number just call. We paid him off as well as something extra when we got back on our feet. It was just such a stand up thing to do......
