As predicted the right wingers have taken to debasing the Nobel Prize.
Just as they did to the UN when it didn't lick Bush's jack boots.
Just as they did to the New York Times when they weren't a mindless cheering section for the Bush regime's illegal activities.
Just as they did to Max McClellan when he opposed the Bush war plans.

They are nothing if not predictable.

I'll say it again; Changing the political paradigm from the ludicrousness of "you are either with us or against us" to "We are all in this together let's work together" is in and of itself a major achievement.
But slag on you sore losers.

And more troops in Afganistan is not the answer. Ask England or the Soviet Union. Read your history. Check out Alexander the Great's experience. Getting out and maintaining the ability to hit the Taliban insurgents anywhere in the world would be much better.

The Shrub spent over 160 million on his self congratulatory re-inauguration celebration while offering the Tsunami victims all of 9 million. If HE had had any integrity he would have cancelled the party and sent all the money to the victims.

Uh, Philo get your facts straight. For Tsunami relief Bush sent a continuous airlift including C17s and C 5s, A full amphibious group was mobilized in Guam in less than 24 hours, a hospital ship was also dispatched.

He spent your 9 million in the first hour just on fuel alone.

This is an amazingly persistant lie in the hands of those lacking the integrity or insight to honor the truth - which is, the Honduran government/military DID NOT legally remove their president. In routing the guy out of bed at gun point, kidnapping him, sticking him on a plane and wisking him out of the contry, they were inviolation of their own constitution, stating that it is illeagl to forceably expatriate the president. Twisting this around to make Obama see weak is itself the weakness.

Also, caliming that it was "well within our rights to bomb North Korea" when they wee testing rockets??? You apparetnly don't understand that America is once and for all done with these kinds of interdictions.

I wonder if the right-wingers, including LEB/HWD, can think of a single positive (or at least not negative) thing to say about Obama and the policies he is working to implement? Has he, in their eyes, done even one thing "right"?

Given that the modern right and the Republican party is founded on such core US values as hate and fear, I suppose not. Manicheans indeed - with them on the side of the dark.

Whatever Obama "did" to draw the attention of the Nobel dudes, he had to have done it in the first week or two of his term.

I'm thinking they awarded Obama for being a black president who isn't George Bush, because he didn't do anything else that first couple of weeks. (he hasn't done anything since either, except staying the course on Bush policies)

The Euros think Obama's their mascot, and they're treating him as such. They want Obama to be their Dancing Monkey that Bush never was.

When I heard he won the prize I knew the right wing dick wads would not see this as a good thing for our country and the world, they would immediatly attack Obama and the peace prize. What a wonderful outlook on life you selfish deluded sorry sacks have.

While I'm clearly no fan of Obama, I nontheless celebrate this as a citizen of the United States.

Oh, yes, can't you just imagine how that would have played out in US politics? The brainless, vindictive right would have crucified him there, too, pointing out more evidence of Obama's 'elitism' (which, to Repubs, means anyone who is smarted than them or has a bigger prick, which is most people, including our POTUS), and how he has completely embarassed the US by snubbing a glorious honor like the NPP.

Face it, HWD/WeirdToadyLois, you and the rest of you brain injured Repugs don't like Obama under any circumstances, any way, any how, no matter what he does, he is not McCain, and he is bad for the US.

So until you Repugs can open your minds and speak rationally about this without your clear, biased, shrill, irrational dislike (oftentimes hate) for Obama, you need to do one of two things. Move to another country, stay here and get rational, or SHUT THE F*CK UP!
