You can get a whole bunch of different uppers for an AR.
The 9mm is probably the funnest/cheapest to shoot.
They even make a .22 cal upper, although I've never tried one.

Gotta wonder about the magwell.

My 9mm AR has a different magwell from the 5.56.

I've heard rumors of a high end AR in .45 that takes Thompson clips.

Ever see that hillarious Wyan Bros movie. DONT BE A MENACE?
There is a scene where a home boy is holding up a liquor store. The kid is banging away with his glock sideways and missing the guy behind the counter when a Yuppie pulls up in a Beemer. The yuppie walks in wearing leather driveing gloves, takes the glock from the banger, lines up the sites properly, drilles the clerk, cleans out the cash drawer, hands the murder wepon back to the banger (rember that yuppie wears gloves) and casualy drives away just as LACS units roll up to the scene. There is annother good one with Michal Douglass giveing shooting lessons to a banger by knee capping him. " See the idea is to line the sights up and squeeze"

Cool Home Boy sights. Had not seen them. Laughed.

Prefer AR over AK 47, but that argument is endless. There is better than both.

Standing S... "...just that i hate to see such poor arguments..."

"...some random alaskan gun nut's webpage..."

I laughed again.

The case file with the quote in the official court record is on my desk. Inconsequential. Pitiable Judge Robert Hackett only took $7,000 by the common fraud of US court process. Money is a fool's quest. Government dolts sell their integrity and the utility of their mind cheap, and teach their offspring to be as worthless to themselves and society. Acquire knowledge.

Never "appeal" a court case involving rights. Acquire a "higher court review", for the reason no lawyer or judge will reveal. If the gullible Americans could not be easily kept ignorant of the prevailing law, the entire gun owner rights (climber rights and other citizen rights) issue would not be feeding the empire of repugnant lawyers/judges.

When unlimbering the bullet launcher only a couple times a year to go get food, but holding knowledge of guns, qualifies one as a gun nut, Standing Strong may not be quite so standing or strong, as prior indicated, much to my amusement.

Off to the ice tower today. Getting warm. May turn the water off.

RE: Homeboy sights

There actually is a specialized application for holding the pistol sideways BTW, but one uses the "normal sights".

It is while attempting to put a round through a horizontal armored slit sight, when windage used vertically assists effectiveness.

I laughed robustly.

If I had known my good friend Standing Strong was going to be such good entertainment, I would have checked the thread from the IceTower Ice Shack today. We turned the water off. Only a nuclear winter can save the IceTower from 7 minutes of additional daylight every day in Fairbanks. But the ice climbing might be good for weeks. Big ice.

My friend, what link did you want for your amusing punctuation, spelling and grammar defining you to capable people? AlaskanAlpineClub.org (webcam page), SumOfIgnorance.com, AlaskaStories.com, BarbecueNight.com, ProjectNight.com, Solve.ws, ParkServiceCorruption.com, CourtCorruption.com, among others.

Bush thinks al Queda is a threat. They are still infatuated with AK 47's. Ice Climbers for a Nuclear Winter (ICNW) use a different trigger block.

There are no expert climbers. There are no backwoods gun nuts. There are people accurately described, such as strongly standing ignorant people who foolishly do not question their words, quite like myself before I learned how to do so.

Because Gandhi arrived in the thread, it is said that he said... "The blackest thing the British did was to deny the people guns."

But therefore he became innovative, as have the Iraqis facing an otherwise overwhelming US military force the Iraqis will defeat on schedule, while the US DemocanRepublicrat War Regime with their idiot military dolts as stupid as was I when I was one in Vietnam, with their dismal language comprehension level of Standing Strong, could not understand these words even if you handed them a dictionary and the history of all wars.

Therefore ask not what others think of the AK 47 or anything else. Get one of any reasonable quality at any reasonable price. Have fun shooting and learning about it. Trade it out for a different gun for the same purpose. Then get a Rugar Number 1 single shot rifle to gather food, and the largest caliber hand gun you find comfortable to walk more comfortably within a species of predators and competitors. And always own good ice axe.

Or so I might imagine. Odd lot these humans. Best comedy on the rock.

Yoooo Piton.....

Upon more precise questioning of the words, and thus learning useful knowledge, an anarchist more greatly values the liberties of others, than do Libertarians.

By design of their mind, verifiable against every question any human can form, humans are entirely capable of socially functioning as you would most prefer, using individual reasoning, without government such as useless National Park Service Pigs charging climbers money to climb on their own public land.

Anarchy is defined as: "a state of society without government or law". Such leaves the social functioning of inescapable reasoning, by design of the human mind, yours. Did you want law, or reasoning? Ninety nine percent of laws defy reasoning. Reasoning does not.

Notice that Libertarians are attempting to gain majority rule power. Is there any power that does not corrupt, that is, alter the perceptions of the otherwise reasoning mind?

Use your answer.

There is a peaceful, reasoning-based process to socially manifest anarchy, to your profound appreciation, and it will be done at a particular time. The humans will therefore emerge from their current intellectual dark ages. I would get around to that easy project, but with entertainment like this, I will probably let the next to learn the process do so, as have all the others in the past.

But beware of Standing's gun nuts. They are hard to crack.

And keep on having fun.

OK,... now even I am starting to think you're a nut.
I'll let it go, it was late, you may have ingested some of that Alaskan antifreeze.

But this is a personal small arms box feed rifle thread so I'm calling drift.

So back on topic;
Tom, did you know that Bushmaster will void the warranty on an AR if you use cheap steel cased ammo?
Worth considering since you're stocking up. Not sure of Ruger policy, but if they say its OK then that's another way that your Mini was a more practical choice.

(My piles of Wolf are still good for the Gallil, and bolt/single action.)

The wolf ammo that I run through my SKS seems to work just fine?? Even shot a minuet of angle group with it at 100m. They advertise it as mil spec so what is the issue???

If I remember correctly the Wolf, being steel cased, chews up chambers, etc. because of the miniscule fragments it produces. I've heard that it really does a number on the HK /CETME group.

Chamber wear perhaps? Extractor wear?

And?

We also dropped $2 pistols* out of airplanes for resistance fighters.

(* the "Liberator* was pretty cool actually. A .45acp single shot with "international" pictorial instructions of how to load and fire. The intent was to kill isolated opposition troops so that their weapons could be commandeered.

But they weren't intended to last.)

I just saw a decent deal on sardine cans of wolf laquor coated mil spec 7.62 short. The 5.56 is all twice the price!!! Are the newer ARs built for 62g or will the 55g still shoot ok in them??
