I always wonder how a guy born of a virgin is supposed to come from the Bloodline of David (which belongs to his step-dad Joseph)?

When people hear the truth. It cuts like a knife. You either allow it to change your heart and you seek GOD for his solution or you run away hopefully to come back another day when you have contemplated all the ramifications and you have calmed down emotionally.
GOD is very clear in his word. But there are many who want to water it down or change it altogether to mean something that it plainly doesn't mean, to make it more palatable and to allow things that GOD doesn't ever allow.
Lucifer knows the word of GOD and manipulates it to lie, "Has it not been said . . ." He's very cunning, and he's very good at that. He has thousands of years of experience. There are many who fall into his traps of false doctrines.
GOD said, "My people perish for lack of vision."
Once the shock is over, and you really have taken the time to check it all out, and have studied the topic and cross-compared all the scripture like a Berean, and have the attitude I want to know the truth no matter what, and have asked for GOD's Holy Spirit to guide you to truth, no matter how bad it hurts, then it is much easier to accept.
It you go into the Word of GOD with the attitude -- I have this certain belief, and no matter what, I will not change this belief no matter what I ever read in GOD's word, then you will not see the truth ever regarding the issue at hand.
You can lie to yourself, but it doesn't ever change GOD's mind or his word.

If you want to really follow the teachings of the name sake of your religion- refer to the three synoptic gospels Matthew, Mark, and Luke- for these are the only possible eyewitness accounts of the deeds of Christ- everything after was written by followers of Paul nearly 80 years later.
In the synoptic gospels you will read nothing about miraculous salvation, only salvation through deeds. You will read nothing about slave ownership nor subjugation of women, nor homosexuality- BECAUSE CHRIST WAS COOL LIKE THAT. Start acting like Christ and less like a bitch.

There are genealogies in the new testament that put the name of Jesus in a list of all men and traditionally the genealogy in judaism goes by the men.
There are a couple of technical ways around this but that scholars have argued but there's no direct mention in the Bible of Mary being in the Davidic bloodline (which the bible makes a point that the savior should be a part of)
And all this is sorta irrelevant anyway. I'm against Sharira Law being the law of the land here, and biblical law as well. We've moved beyond condoning slavery, death by stoning for adultery, and so on. You can go ahead and not pratice homosexuality all you like to please God but give people equal rights just as we no longer allow slavery despite it's repeated biblical endorsements
