John, I never hinted about physical harm! I was implying that he (like me) is rather profane and womanizing.

It was a joke!!!

Some things you don't joke about. Especially on a public forum. I knew it was a joke, but not everyone would. If you have ever been tainted by a nasty rumor, then you would understand. It can get really bad.

MrE & Skip, I want to know ..if on Wednesday there will be Wedding cake..For the Wonderful event?..

If not, i can buy one round at my favorite Bakery.. (about 25 peeps/slices) .. If you don't mention the word* Wedding*...They charge a lot less money for the cakes.....

Some of these things are only by innuendo, and one of the subjects of this discssion has been banned for poor taste in posting. Why don't we all drop talking about someone who isn't around to defend himself!

Let's get on with Facelift 2011!

We plan to feed both FatTrad and Crowley to #46. Tasty plump morsels. Probably bluering is too skinny.

Whether we'll need to waterboard them remains to be seen.

OK, I have been trying NOT to hijack this thread with our personal stuff, but...

Yes, Nita - we will have a cake. We've been thinking about it a bit this last week. I'll show Skip your post, and reply to you by e-mail.

Thanks for the thought!

P.S. The venue "may" be changing to where we are staying Tuesday and Wednesday: The River House at Cedar Lodge. The parental units are pushing for everything at the same location.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Barbarian is in for another round. What's on the menu? Crashed motorhome? Asphalt? Phone lines and poles? Camp 6 cleanup?
Bring on the fun and frivolity! Gimme an orange bag and trash picker!
Can we start today? I get off work at 5!

Sorry....I got a little excited....

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone! And helping out, as well.

Right now it's looking like I will be taking a shot at Skull Queen a few days before the Facelift...if we get stuck up there I guess my girl will just have to work twice as hard lol :)

Wait, that was supposed to be the quiet part....hehe

Have the volunteer c/ground reservations been announced yet?

I will want to stake a claim just in case, but have to admit, it is going to be tough for me to make it out this year. Money issues... Of course, if I do find I cannot go, I will let reservations know asap so someone else may have the spot.

stop on by. you might be surprised by what your daughter wants to do.

People that don't know about the facelift would stop by the volunteer booth. next thing you new they and their flock of children were running around in day glow orange vests with trash pickerupperers.

it's sorta addicting.

either way... if you are around and you don't appear we'll all consider ourselves spurned.

Lolli, for the past few years there has been some free camping in Yosemite for FaceLift volunteers, at Camp 4 for some, mostly at Yellow Pine, a big volunteer oriented group site. Usually the SuperTopo contingent and friends have one or two evening events at Yellow Pine, e.g. a BBQ. Assuming that you and your daughter want to be there for a day or two and go hiking or climbing, all you need to do is volunteer to "clean up" wherever you're going. That is, sign in in the morning, get vests, litter sticks and bags, pick up anything you see while out hiking or climbing (look carefully!), and bring everything back by late afternoon. If you don't find anything much, well that sometimes happens.

It's a lot of fun, and we could all meet in person.

Change it to Beerboarding this way LEO, FEDS and everyone else investigating the charges will just say “Hey, looks like too much fun and you guys are babbling about nothing that makes sense to us”

trying to decide how to do sushi (if there's enough interest).

fatty wants to share a kitchen with me. It's not a proposal (I'd have to decline).
