Oversouls
In the country of souls we roam
the Great Star Nation
to some it is known.
Spirits entwined, as trellis and vine.
Dance with the seasons,
all heart, no reason.
Time weaves living cloth
of lifetimes together.
Warp of nature,
weft of love.
Sacred blessing from above.
Before each birth,
after each death
I know where you are.
Then, as a falling star,
soul memory is gone
with newborn scream.

well TopRopeGun, personally I make no distinction but am aware that some do (used to?) In product design we call it concept ART, so there ya go - we're on the same page.

What would you think about a life-size chocolate Jesus sculpture--would you consider that art?

OMG Cossie! I love those--especially that second one with all the rainbows and orange variations. Looks like you could make one heck of an acid-tripping mobile out of that.

I really like the color and form of the climbing one. Nicely done!

Hey TopRopeGun,
your images aren't opening in my browser - anyone else experiencing this or is it just funk on my end?

Aren't opening for me either.
By the way TRG--your first image posted alone was computer generated, not mixed media?

Thanks everyone.
The first image (blue with woman) is oil and graphite...but a bad photo of it.
The rest are traditional media, mixed with digital...just can't turn the work around fast enough doing it all traditional anymore. Good to be busy...but miss the hands on of traditional...guess you gotta pick your battles...I strive to make even teh digital, not look so...digital. Hopefully it works.
I do have a website...though in dire need of an update/redesign as it's about 4 years old now...and is only Illustration work, no design stuff: www.miketea.com
Some may look familiar....among other clients, I have drawn for Climbing Magazine for about a decade.
keep it comin everyone! great stuff!
Yo Nate D...I am always looking for new clients! Drop me a line if you need work! Just checked out your Elixir profile...we are both Utes!

That's cool, Mike! If something comes up that's appropriate, I'll give you a ring. I sure miss all that nearby rock over there.
