hey there healyje... say, wow, thanks for the share... wishes a good and fast healing, glad that he did NOT hit his head or neck, or back, for that matter...
say---though they do say blood clots from such wounds as his, are a serious matter...
sending prayers for getting well....

That's not the kind of "zipping it up" you want from climbing. Dang it! Hope the healing goes well.

Marty my friend, I can’t believe it… I have just discovered this thread on supertopo! I did not understand why you had not written to me after the Outdoor Retailer Show… Last Tuesday I was at the hospital to be operated on a hernia… I thought it was quite a serious affair… Now, after seeing the photograph of your scar, I just can tell that YOU are the Master, and I am just a modest pupil!
Marty, I sincerely wish you a very quick and good recovery.
With very best wishes from Corsica to my alter ego in the USA!

Wow! That zipper is even longer than mine.
I don't know you Marty, but it looks like we're members of the same club, so welcome aboard. Heal well, man. You're in for some rough days, but they'll end, and eventually you'll be joking about it between pitches.

Speedy recovery, Marty;....your Queen Creek Guide is 5 star, and I've heard your climbing "museum" is also 5 star;....Be patient, watch some TV, drink a bunch,...and before you know it,...you'll be back sending and throwing it down. Best of luck to you in your recovery.... Todd Gordon, Joshua Tree, Ca.

Hope it heals great and you find good things to do while it gets better.
Bouldering where every session means repeated accidents, every fall is a deck fall...only usually not that bad.
That's my "old Guy" talkin'
