I figure she has some friends on this site who might have climbed with her out and about (she's climbed a lot in Yosemite/Tuolumne especially). Wonderful girl who spends tons time climbing across the western US and Canada. She was most recently climbing in Arizona all winter, then up through Moab/IC this spring and was heading points north for the summer. She's a familiar face to many climbers. Goes by the handle "Tacos." She's from Japan but spends tons of time over here climbing.

I found out she was in a bad car accident last week in Wyoming while on a climbing trip there. She is hospitalized in Casper with a broken neck (she does have movement in her extremities so no paralysis thank goodness). She should make a full recovery in time from what I've heard.

Anyway, I figured some folks around here had to have climbed with her and might want to know what happened (I learned via her Facebook, a partner posted it). Here's the hospital address if you want to send a card wishing her a speedy recovery. She doesn't have any family here in the US so it would probably really cheer her up:

I was looking for a pic of us together in Yosemite but I can't find it at the moment so here's a couple of her in Utah this spring that I grabbed off her Facebook:

Thanks for posting the address. She is a strong woman and I am hopeful for a full recovery. She spent time with me in AZ and I am shocked this happened. God bless, Tacos.

Cars are dangerous. They let just about anyone get one.
Be careful out there. Heal nicely, Tacos.
