Not sure, but "definitely" has to be very high on the list.

definately = 979
definatly = 111

Total 1090!

Put the Taco Search to good use and top that!

"topo" is frequently mis-spelt as "taco". There are 5,380 occurrences of the word "taco", and assuming that 50% were meant to be "topo", that's 2,690 total.

I'm sure a post of mine hit that search.

I've told Russ that both definitely and especially (both of which I use daily) 90% of the time they've got that little red line below the word.

What is really funny...

There is some kind of bug in the ST search. "definitely" comes up zero times, Unless you use the Google search!

The hard ones to count are definitely things like loose/lose, their/there/they're, your/you're since they really are words.

Mighty Hiker would just assign probabilities to them and have an answer, though. :-)

"Separately" is another common one.

I have not found any yet though that approach "definitely". Root is Latin finis, meaning "end" for finite, infinite, definite, if that helps.

I used to put the extra "e" in judgment.

"Religous" is relatively common here for "religious", I believe!

Almost nobody here knows how to spell "mantel". It's a shelf, above a fireplace, that you climb onto without using any holds above.
