That's a fact!
Except to those in the Republican Party who also happen to believe the world is 6000 years old.

I'll answer this troll with another troll. Can you measure how much, and how much it costs to change the amount of warming? Marginal cost data preferred.

SuperTopo's right wing is hard core. Long after W's popularity sank to 30% nationwide, they were still defending him or sarcastically attacking his critics. Long after it's clear that McCain/Palin are awful in many different ways, and moderate conservatives have been jumping ship right and left, SuperTopo's stalwarts can't see why.
Don't expect them to shift soon on climate change either.

Warm is good.
..........Cold is bad.
Ask any farmer. With 6 billion people that need to eat on the planet its a blessing that the temperature is going up.
Unless you think like a Nazi and want some people dead.

who are the 750 million people that don't need to eat?
also if deserts expand and oceans rise, both will encroach on agricultural land. less land in production = less food

Tell it to the folks in sub-saharan Africa. Water is good, drought is bad.

Yep, humans are very likely warming the planet (not 100% sure, but I'm willing to concede the uncertainty). But compared to other factors, like solar activity, our influence is tiny. Here's the latest global temperature data, and it correlates nicely with a recent lull in solar activity (e.g., zero sunspots in August, first time that has happened since 1913, 50-year lows in solar winds, etc). Don't chuck those down jackets and tire chains just yet!

The liberals have been bitching about the evils of oil for the last 30 years. However they have not lifted a finger to remedy the situation, only posturing themselves as victims to big oil and big auto.
”I live in the most successful country in the world, and I am a victim!”
On this issue, Liberals Environments can 100% SUCK OIL and Die!
Either practice what you preach, or shut THE F up!
(and which carbon guzzling-international flight did you pass up to save the earth?)

wait, wait...you forgot meeeeee!!!!!
bookworm says, "keep an open mind; don't put your FAITH in one man, especially a man who is not prepared for the job...no, no, no...i don't mean obama (well, actually, i do mean obama, but that's another thread)...i mean gore...a journalist, NOT a scientist...yes, yes, yes...i understand he "invented the internet", but that was as a senator not a computer engineer...anyway, just remember, al gore refuses to debate ANYONE on the issue of global warming (ahem, climate change)...probably because he feels he has no time to waste; he has to save the planet by privately jetting all over the world giving the same ol' powerpoint presentation for big speaker's fees (and collecting a nobel 'peace' prize) to pay for that big ol' house that uses more electricity in one month than the average american household uses in ONE YEAR, but i know that's just a "distraction" from the really important issue redistributing wealth from those who earn it to those who don't (especially congress)...oops, wrong guy again...anyway, just read and watch"

Hello, Liberals haven't been in charge during the last 30 years.
I do give McCain lots of credit for trying to increase fuel efficiency in autos the last several years.
Of course, you know who opposed such efforts, don't you? (Hint, it wasn't the liberals.)

Nope, bookworm's catch-phrase is "Read some history!"
To which one might respond, "Read some science!" Not your strong suit, as those "citations" make clear.

The planet doesn't care what we do to it. Its a rock.
I like our rock. A lot.
Are the Global Warming Chicken Littles dangerous?
Yup, and they've got to be watched closely when motivated by the same fervor as the Catholic Inquisition was to stop things this happening:

The green revolution will not come from the gov, it will come from the people. Doesn't matter who was in power, the Green revolution will be similar to dot.com, it that, the technology will come from people's garages and basements. Silicon Valley already is building electric cars.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO INVOLVE THE Government in the green revolution?
---Oh I forgot, you are a socialist.
GREEN Revolution = The People
Not the gov
