the McCain cap has played it over and over how much of an elitist Obama is and the fact that "He's Rich Too" line of McCain BS...

Truth is a lot of times stranger than fiction..
McCains net worth for 2006 was $36.4 million.
Obamas net worth for 2006 was $799,00

Stop the BS and get back to talking about the issues!!!

You're not paying attention, my boy.

McCain is a Washington OUTSIDER! A MAVERICK! An INDEPENDENT THINKER! A WORKINGMAN!

Obama is the effete elitist. The media says so, so it must be true.

Arugula is dandelion leaves if Locker's photo is right. Always knew I hated the stuff. Now I know why.

Even though i hate dandelion, I like Obama. Could it be that the media is wrong and the two have nothing to do with each other?

Holy crap!

I don't understand "elitist" criticism. For crying out loud, when I vote for someone, I want them to be smarter than me. I want them to have more education. I want their critical thinking skills to surpass mine. I want someone who can speak eloquently. I want someone who excelled in their coursework. I want someone who is better than me at understanding the issues facing this country and this planet. Facing the poor, facing the rich, facing the minorities, facing industry and the environment.

Though criticism of intellectual elitism bothers me most, the same can be applied to the rich. I don't care how much they have--especially if they worked for it. This country needs someone who can bring economic turnaround. This planet needs leaders who help all nations improve quality of life in sustainable ways. Wealth often breeds greed. But I'll not judge on wealth alone. (Though I'd certainly favor a rich candidate who gives generously to charity)

I've heard many republicans (the average joe type) laud Bush for being "just a regular guy". F that. Give me a super hero.

PS. No contention from me with your initial post Kurt. Just venting.

McCain's the only one of the two who can tell you how much a double-cheeseburger on McDonalds Dollar Menu costs.

Arugila is a weed! Once you plant some, you will never get rid of it.

Good with a genuine Ceasar dressing and some stinky cheese though.

Maybe Barak Husein Obama ought to send his half brother George Husein Obama (that he met with in 2006) a twenty dollar bill.

That would more than double his twelve dollar yearly income!

He lives in a 6' X 9' shack outside Nairobi.

( Anyone remember his "least of them" quote?)

At least McCain's wife puts up a few elderly relatives in her extra houses.

I think it's the 7 houses that allow McCain to keep his status as a Washington outsider.

skippity-doo ... you don't really want to crack open the "knows someone who's a felon" fi you want to do McCain any good: Keating 5 is about to be back in the spotlight. Kids right. the issues are important not who is more rich. The economy sucks because bush has encouraged companies to outsource. McCain likes that, too. The middle class is collapsing and McCain prefers to help the rich (who he thinks means $5,000,000 per year or better to qualfy) instead of lowering mid class taxes. The national debt is a crisis and he doesn't have a plan to pay it off. Our security is weakend because too many troops have been in IRaq for too long and he'd rather fight Iran and RUssia and all comers for 100 years instead of strengthen our own security. Millions of us don't have health care because the insurance and drug companies write legislation that senators like McCain have supported fro there whole careers. Them are the issues. Obamas been better at addressing them. McCain is a shallow, pale copy of Bush. No more same. Need new.

Indeed Coz.
His disclosed filing for 2006 was a bit over 500k

edit: I do know what arugula is. Remember that movie "Mousehunt", when the mouse made the sandwich and only toasted one slice of bread so he wouldn't wilt the arugula?

So skip, are you certain at this point that you will vote for McCain? Or should we optimistically put you down as undecided, waiting until all the facts (and swift boats) are in, and until you've heard the issues debated?

Or are you like Fatty, an undecided leaning so far toward McCain that you've done a face plant, and don't seem likely to recover your equilibrium?
