Update....

Russ just called from checking out the Sahara house, as it's actually IN a floodplain. All that bobcat work paid off and house is nice and dry.

No word on the car yet which he had to abandon. I'm left wondering if it's still there or on his way home he'll be swept away and we'd be seeing him on one of those helicopter rescues.

Wearing swim trunks, umbrella and the same shovel he's headed back.

As for the shovel... he digs to redirect the flow.

Hwy 62 is closed.

always wanted to see a flashflood in the Tree. that wash that you walk thru on the way to the Wonderland would be awesome under water.

That's funny Monkey... he thought about puttin' in the kayak but got snail eye. Actually thought he's take off and wouldn't be able to stop. I can see it now down the street and launching over the 62 like Evil Kenievel in a boat!

Uh kinda feel bad, got an eamil from Russ about an old injury and I hosed him about being a puss and all, but from the looks of the pictures this wasn't HIS injury he was talking about. Sorry Russ, You look as able as ever and the red Patagonia looks so sheek on you. Give a call if yer buddy on the baseball field needs any help! Hope the floods don't screw with ALL you in the "high" desert.
Peace

Time to inflate the floaties. Who'd a thunk you'd need to learn to swim living in JTree?

Stay dry, kids...

Hey guys, if it gets any worse give a holler. I've got a couple more kayaks and a bunch of buckets !

Was watching all the thunderhead action from home today. Figured it was doing something. Wonder if Borrego Springs got a big H20 dump. Looks like it's clear over to Palomar Mtn and Lake Henshaw area.

Hope the pool table didn't suffer.
