Besides that Grateful Dead concert in the seventies,,,
What is your personal best. I know a few here have been on Everest, any make it to the top? Seen a lot of names from this place in the AAJ. Pumori, Rainier, Whitney, Kilimanjaro? Does not have to be a summit.
I would think that probably most folks here have never been over 14,000 ft. Please prove me wrong.
My personal best, 13,840,,,and I drove my truck up there.

Twenty-two eight... Roughly equivalent in effort to a mellow marathon after a 10-day backpacking trip. Far less daring than, say, Northwest Books with a cord.
Altitude for its own sake is a fitness challenge. There can be moments of beauty, but I'd not expect many on the Seven Summits nowadays.

Used to say at the top of all climbs....there's ALWAYS room to get a little higher, and the smoke would start rising!
