Someone came into my house last night.....I heard wierd noises downstairs around 2:30 but thought it was the dawgs( didn't quite sound write) so fooled myself back into slumber. This morning my wifes purse( normally on the island) was gone and you could see the foot prints where they had cased our Mazda but it was locked up. Last week we had 8 relatives here and 2 other dawgs so our dawgs are aclimatized to other noises and apparently slept through the whole thing, ( not worth their Kibble).
Breaking into my house isn't the smartest thing to do, I've got some issues and am carrying a few toys, maybe they'll come back tonight.........

How did "it" gain entry into your house?

The house was left unlocked?

Jody you can come on over and help yourself to a few beers in the fridge and we have 2 spare bedrooms downstairs. You can acclimatize to this elavation before we do a Thursday night aid TR adventure.

Unlocked..... Both my wife and I went out that door this morning and niether recalls unlocking it, a possible scenario, yes.....The boldness to come into the house is astonishing, we've had our vehicles poached in the past but never an entry into the house.

Mark let me tell you a story about boldness,

At Merry's moms house in LA once some guy off the street just opened the front door and and sat down at the time they are having dinner and takes Merry's plate from her and starts eating her dinner, LOL.

They called the cops of course and had him removed.

Her brother has a gun, but didn't need it for that type of situation.

Damn, that's some weird schist, bro!!! Whew! Maybe that black patrol vehicle needs to sit in the street again and get "cased"... I'd like that... I'd like that a lot...

Hope all is well!!!

Mark,
something to consider; sometimes the motive for entering a dwelling is more than profit. The theft could be secondary.

Take measures.

Crazy guy walked into my house while I was hiking, wife was at the store. 10 year old son at home. He took one step into the house and was hit in the chest by 70 pounds of Pit Bull. 10 Year old son saved intruders life by pulling, commanding dog to stop.

Sir Robert the Bruce, died Dec. 23, 2006. He was the best dog of my life. If there is a Heaven, he is there. If there is a Hell, I will be there, sentenced to be forever seperated.

All jokes aside, keep your doors locked. Buy an effective alarm system. Find a good good strong dog who loves you and yours more than life itself.

I personally think that the trained and practiced owner of firearms helps. If you are not trained and practiced, don't have a gun, it will be used against you.

mark, that's scary. I lock my door, and have a big dog who does not like anyone he does not know in his house.

The purse may have been a re-con.

Maybe I should have taken Dad up on his service revolver.

I never worried about any of this in Mono Co.
