Been sick and working like a dog.

I looked up from my book moments ago and declared "I'm burned out" and promptly booked a trip to Cozumel. It isn't climbing, but to me, it's the second best thing!

Yay. :)

SOunds nice. Next time, book a trip to kalymnos or tonsai. That way you get morning climbs and afternoons on the beach.!

Hey Crimp, nice plan.

Do you need anyone to carry your luggage? ;)

Cozumel is a big enough island. Everyone should come along!

Oh, and no luggage here. just some bathing suits and a few books. That's all I need. Yay for all-inclusiveness too. Carefree - just the way I like it. Now to survive until then...

Okay, seriously - all tacos should join me.

Some are expressing an interest. If you are interested in the timing and location, shoot me an email. It'd be a blast to have a Mexico-fest with my fellow tacos.
Ouch!

Cozumel is great, have a fun time! The diving is sublime.

I'm not a fan a all-inclusives though. I just can't get into holing up in a big compound, with a bunch of gringos and not visiting with locals, eating at different restaurants, and such. One can still do that kind of stuff while at inclusives too, so no big deal.

I'd take Mex over WI any day though! Have a great time, jealous here!!!

Agreed.

I've been to Cozumel about 100 times though so I'm content to be the lazy tourist these days. Even with the ease of all-inclusiveness, it's easy to go into town, hang with locales, or hit the ferry to go to the mainland too.

And the diving - amazing.

OUCH! Wow! Even I can't stop staring. That's gonna get some folks to join me in Mexico.

Post photos!

I've been diving there once, I'd love to get back, but it's kinda far from the west coast.

Have you been to Isla Mujeres, very nice.

Yeah, Tulum area is fun. Also, all those little cenotes around the area offer great swimming.

Must......get....back.....to....work :(

You guys have two weeks. Get those passports! Get those tickets. It's gonna be a blast.

A fun trip is to take the ferry to Playa del Carmen, rent a car and drive to Chichanitza (wow, i missed that spelling by a mile. too lazy to correct it). It was more fun in the 1980s when it was so touristy, but it is still super cool. That pyramid is amazing.

Fet - agreed - Isla Mujeres is the best. I actually like it more than Cozumel since it's smaller and more chill. Plus, two words: topless beach. It's more expensive so I had to pass on it this time. Not willing to go the hostel route though that is waaaay cheap.

I love Mexico!

edited (again) to add: I will post some photos. Werner said the site is boring so I'll try to liven it up with a Mexico TR.

Great idea about renting a car.

Have you heard of Coba Ruins?

Like Chitzi but less visited by the big groups. And a lot closer to Carmen too.
