Exhibit A...

Story with lots of pics:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/chronicle/archive/2007/04/29/BAGVOPHQU46.DTL

A tanker loaded with gasoline overturned early this morning, and the heat of the flames
caused an overhead, 250 yard section of freeway to melt and collapse. The section that
collapsed was knott impacted in any way - it was purely the heat of the fire that did it.

How many times have we heard that the WTC couldn't have collapsed from the fire,
knott-withstanding the fact that many floors were decimated by the impact of the planes
(and I'm guessing that jet fuel might burn just a wee bit hotter than automotive gasoline).
Also, I suspect that that section of roadway was infinitely stronger that any
particular floor of WTC. The freeway section was built after the Loma Prieta
earthquake of '89 where the Cypress Freeway collapsed and killed 42 people.
Nothing flimsy about it!

I'm sure there's a compelling explanation for this.

I'm all ears...

I could be wrong about the heat of jet fuel, but since it is kerosine based, I assumed
that it burns much hotter than unleaded gas. I can attest that kerosine burns
much hotter in an MSR XGK stove, with significantly shorter boil times.
Much harder to get going, however...

So the truck crashed and burned on 80/880 blocking it, but the resulting fire habachi-ed the east/west bound 580-80 (Bay bridge access)?
wild shit!

The first thing that popped into my head this morning was the WTC burning concrete scenario.

How much do you think they'll spend researching how this happened?
More or less than $12 mil?

Fuel fires on bridges are knott a good thing.

Be sure to read the second page to get temps and description of the steel.

This is only the second time, in the entire history of the world, that fire has melted steel.

I'll wager that Rosie's "carbon footprint" is almost as large as her ass...

Edit: It's possible that Rosie might knott be as dumb as she makes herself out to be...

Rosie is as dumb as they come. She spouts a couple of twoofer classics in this video.

Rosie: 'I believe that it is the first time in history that fire has melted steel'.

See 4:06 point of this video for the quote:

Are we "sure" that a plane didn't hit the bridge?

It's possible that the US government, in a desparate bid to garner agreement with it's foreign policy, melted this bridge.

After all, it can't happen, as proved earlier.

Crowley, are you on this?

Don't they melt steel down to make things - like steel girders - for building skyscrapers? Just wondering.

It's obvious.

The Neo-Cons *pulled* the bridge.

The fire was only a diversion.
