Nothing too exciting, John, but some good quartzite stones behind my house in Ogden. Next time you're at OR, come up for a day and I'll point out the problems.

Jello - cool, thanx. If you put up the problems I probably won't be able to do them! I'll give them a go however.

bvb - Hear My Train A Comin'....wow, did Hendrix used to boulder there?

Here's some West Coast sandstone...not the best, but this one's pretty good. Don't know the name - it's at Pine Mountain.

John I think that may be "dissing euro trash" or something like that. I could well be wrong. Me on Sock Hop at Pine Mountain. Go there if you have not been yet.

mojede - I know my pad's pretty meager, but it makes me try harder!

matty - nice pic. When I went, there were these wicked flies all over - I got wiped out!

kenny - gotta agree - Castle Rock is good stuff - haven't been there in ages.

JB, you're on the mark--a pad is for FALLING only; we're climbers, right ? Not fallers.

Hey, JB. Glad to see you here again! There are a couple of areas around Fresno that are pretty awesome. One is outside of Visalia that is like a mini Bishop. Boulders everywhere, some good hard stuff. There's a Sharma V8 there. Little known area. e-mail me and I'll give you the 411.

Gnome - is that the knobby boulder on 120, in the shadow of Tenaya peak?

Cheers!

John,
Yeah...we were calling it Greenie Meanie Right- I think. There's a left too-just as hard but more dynamic. The other pictures are from Castle Rock- my "backyard."

An idea of the rock at Castle Rock State Park. We don't boulder, we usually rope up, but you can get an idea (flashback) of what the sandstone is like.
