I always loved Apu. My stereotype of East Indians is they are really intelligent. Maybe Hari Kondabolu suffers from an inferiority complex, or his numbers were falling, or he didn't have anything more important to do, or he's trolling. Odd thing a comedian being upset and not wallowing in parody.
Another stereotype of mine use to be thinking alcoholics are ugly. Latter I felt the label, alcoholic, really doesn't say anything about the person e g are they loving, mean spirited, kind, lost, ambitious. Statistically most of them hold jobs and some have been great writers. Mankind has been using intoxicants for eons. Then I started thinking how just about anything we 'wallow in' is intoxicating e g emotions, sports, anger, climbing, etc.

Doug Stanhope is brilliant. Saw a guy have a seizure at his show once. His response was, "If I stopped my set everytime somebody had a medical emergency I would never get anything done." Everyone laughed. Except the guy convulsing and being dragged out by his armpits.
I'll miss Apu, but I haven't seen a new episode in sometime. I guess they said it was black face for voice. Dr. Hebert is voiced by a white guy, nobody cares.

Those guys are old. And their schtick tired out long ago. Their humor died of natural causes I'm afraid.
DMT is quite right . . . these guys were/are funny but for chrissakes lets freshen things up!

I vote democratic, but the triggered, PC, that's not/never funny crowd are the worst. People need to lighten the fvck up. Jordan Peterson has some good points about the gubmnt controlling language. Yes, I am a poor fellow, even pathetic---ha ha, it's funny even to me.
That I thought climbing defined who I am---comically flawed.
Mel Brooks previously said he wouldn't be able to make Blazing Saddles today because people would find it offensive. He said he made it to smash racism in the face.

TradMaria: The initial strategy of leftism is political correctness.[ or subversion from the power elite] Truth is killed because it is in direct conflict with the fantasies of any Marxist-utopic cult. [ or it’s killed by the Tyranny of the minority Fascists born of the Tyranny of the majority democracy] Once the government/movement gets control of speech and what a person can freely say, with out fear of persecution, then irony and therefor humor dies soon after. At least it dies in the light of day anyway[agree].
Of course this only lasts so long - when the Marxist movement [subversive Fascists] and the state become incompetent and corrupt as they always do - the killing of everyone who is a problem quickly starts [Hitler, Stalin]. The laws of nature soon take over once again much like when any system fails. The first to go are the dullards, deviants, weaklings and demented old idiots [disagree, the deviants will control through AI, IT, propaganda, robots]; ironically any of the useful victim coalition used in the creation of a fantasy world filled with free stuff and no responsibility [notice how the tech stuff is already almost free---control through entertainment and divisive propaganda; your use of the word irony is lost on me, which is funny. Free stuff in free boxes all over PDX from people who can’t afford rent anymore, or from people that already have too much stuff, and need to upgrade to better stuff because there old stuff doesn’t make them happy anymore---this is ironic.]

I think it’s the opposite, people struggling to get by don’t have the time or energy to worry about dumb stuff. Someone’s life has to be pretty easy (or boring) to watch a TV show and take the time to protest it.
