It looks a bit like I would expect Clouds Rest to look but any CR route would not have a belay anchor next to a perfectly good crack like that.
The inverted exfoliation makes it unusual.

bouldring88, it's definitely not anything on Herring Creek Dome (on Sonora Pass Highway). In fact, I'm sure it's not on SPH at all.
Looks cool though.
I need another lifetime after this one just to finish all the climbs I want to do in this state (California).

Ran in one day to take a look around and snap a bunch of photographs.
Met some guys heading up on a formation just a little bit further up from this one, towards the bigger wall, named Flathead, called Shoshone.

It's really not very far in; I don't think it took me more than an hour at a gentle trot.
Still not sure of the picture from the OP, in terms of exact location or formation!
