Jim followed Muir's advice to seek the mountains and the peace found there...
BIG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
Genuflect, genuflect...
Jim, I find peace of mind on the toilet, like old Martin Luther, but you don't wanna go there.
You may appreciate the following, some pics from the parish to which I belong.
Very beautiful gallery, Jim. Thanks.

I dunno, I prefer kneeling and then standing, sitting, then kneeling again, then probably standing again before kneeling again. Then going up and getting the wafer and then kneeling again. That's the kind of church that I like, but each to his own.

Yanqui....I'm heading down on 12/31 with Jay Smith...my wife is going down a few days earlier. Jay will stay for the month of Jamuary...we have a project on San Lorenzo. He's also bringing a fly rod and pack raft for non climbing days. My wife and I are staying thru Feb.
Religious/political threads can be beguiling but in the end they are a total waste of time....just a bunch of people pontificating closely held views to others with divergent but equally closely held opinions.
I am taking a personal vow to NEVER even open one here or on any other forum.

Jim, I really appreciate you opening the window to the wonders of the world for those of us on different paths. I have oft fantasized about your little corner of paradise south of the equator.

Great photo share Jim! It's awesome to know that the mountain gods let you survive climbing in all those beautiful places.
I never really thought much about the Sherpa belief in mountain gods, until I camped around 12,000', with a great view of the NE side of Dhaulagiri, 26,795'. I had no problems believing it is a holy place.
