I saw his account was deactivated and wondered why. The guy is entertaining even though a little acid tongued, but never out of line so much that this would be warranted. This place will be poorer without him.

Werner better not have gotten the boot. This place has changed so much since I found the campfire 8 years ago. I'm sad. I am doing some research on climbing and it led me to ST years ago. So many people/names are missing from the campfire.......and we are poorer for it.....imho.

If Werner decided to take some time off, you can all rest assured it was his decision. So maybe a better question is to ask ourselves how it is that supertopo reached a point where it was no longer worth his time.

I think Werner has disconnected from the ST server to connect better to the Grand server of life... You can easily get lost when often connected to the ST server...
... that's of course a stupid speculation...
... which is quite all right...

In all seriousness its a bummer to see him go. I think he gave a unique insight to a lot of topics on this forum.

Roger that Lynne. If Werner chose to leave okay, but I will miss him. I doubt he would be evicted.
