I'm a traveling nurse, so on the days that I work parking overnight will not be a problem. We parked plenty of times at the hotels and casinos when we were there.
How is parking overnight in Red Rocks and Zion national park? Any other suggestions where to park around Vegas near places like that.
Only serious responders only. Preferably those who have actually done it themselves or had friends who did it.

did this for a few springs years ago and gota say Vegas is the worst place for in town bivy ever!
3 near break ins with me in van, one time the guy had a gun. These were mostly in hotel parking lots and once on the street.
no safe parts of this city unless you're in a gated community.

Can't say I've done it, but it seems to me sleeping in a van anywhere in Vegas (other than a gated situation)puts you at the front of the line for a Darwin award.

One trip we couldn't find an affordable hotel (Christmas season) so we drove maybe half way to Red Rocks, pulled off on a dusty side road a few miles. Pulled well off the road (totally rural desert at this point). And went to sleep in my van. Got woken in the morning by BLM cops who gave me a $180 ticket for illegal sleeping or some such BS. Seems its illegal to sleep in your car in the whole county. No signs anywhere to that effect of course. And why do I hate cops?
